🚨 Food Recall Alert: Possible Listeria in Ready to Eat Pasta Meals & Deli Salads
Heads up, Little Star families federal health agencies have expanded a Listeria monocytogenes warning tied to certain prepared pasta meals and deli pasta salads. Please check your fridge/freezer today and follow the guidance below.
Check for these products (do not eat):

Walmart: Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara (12 oz)
Best-by dates: SEP 22, SEP 24, SEP 25, SEP 29, SEP 30, OCT 01, 2025. Look for EST. 50784 or EST. 47718 on the USDA mark.

Trader Joe’s: Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettuccine Alfredo (16 oz)
Best-by dates: SEP 20, SEP 24, or SEP 27, 2025. (Sold in AZ, CA, NV, NM, UT).

Kroger Family of Stores: Deli pasta salads (Basil Pesto Bowtie and Smoked Mozzarella Penne) in multiple states including California (store lists vary).

Albertsons/Safeway: (select store-made deli items) containing recalled bowtie pasta ingredients.

This investigation is ongoing and the list can expand. For the most current list of affected brands and stores, check the FDA/CDC updates.

What to do now
Do not eat any recalled item. Throw it away or return to the store.
Clean and sanitize any surfaces/containers that touched the product. Listeria can survive in the fridge.

Watch for symptoms up to 70 days after exposure: fever, headache, stiff neck, confusion, muscle aches, diarrhea. Pregnant people may have only mild flu-like symptoms but infection can be serious for the baby. Seek care if symptoms appear.

Who is at risk?
Pregnant people and newborns, adults ≥65, and anyone with weakened immunity.

We’re here to help!
If you think your child ate a recalled item or has symptoms, call Little Star Pediatric Urgent Care or walk in during clinic hours (Weekdays 4:30–11:00 PM, Weekends 11:00 AM–7:00 PM). Telemedicine available.
