Founder Story – Meet Nayeli, the heart behind Soma, Heart & Mind Therapy 🌿

What began as a calling to support women through the challenges of motherhood has grown into a space for deep, embodied healing.

Over the years, I’ve learned that healing isn’t just about the mind, it’s about the body, the heart, and the stories we carry within us.

Soma was born from that truth. From sitting with mothers in moments of overwhelm, to guiding women through trauma, regulation, and rediscovery, this work has transformed not only my clients, but me too.

I’m endlessly grateful for the women who have trusted me with their healing, for the mentors who’ve shaped my path, and for the community that continues to grow alongside Soma.

Here’s to what’s still unfolding, to healing, connection, and coming home to ourselves. 💫

As a perinatal therapist, I’ve had many conversations with mothers about the emotional complexities of motherhood. And one of the more bittersweet moments comes when a mother finds herself scrolling through her phone, pausing at pictures of her younger self—back when her baby was, well, a baby.
Those early days can feel so long in the moment, but in hindsight, they’re often a blur. And then, there’s that moment—the one where you realize just how many milestones your child has reached, and how much you’ve changed along the way too.
Motherhood isn’t just about your child growing up—it’s also about you growing. In the early days, you might have felt lost, uncertain, or unsure of who you were beyond the title of “mom.” But look at you now.
You’ve grown. You’ve experienced the fullness of who you are, not just as a mother, but as a woman, as a person. There have been shifts in your identity, your relationships, and your resilience.
Take a moment to honor that growth. 💖 And know, no matter where you are in this journey, you’re doing an incredible job.
