What started out as a mission trip to Kenya back in 2011…has turned into a so much more. Jeff and Natalie , our founders, saw a need and were moved to make a difference not only for the time they were visiting…but to CONTINUE the mission. They were deeply impacted by the people there and chose to put their compassion into action♥️

Fast forward to today and we have grown to 4 clinics and continue to help and heal those who otherwise may feel forgotten.

We thank those who have donated and partnered with us over these past 15 years. Let’s keep changing lives together 🙌🏼

Meet Sharon ⤵️

She is a 14 year old girl who first came to physical therapy in last February for an evaluation. When we met her she was non verbal and was leaning completely forward over a walker. She had no mechanism of injury and after careful evaluation, there was no structural reason why she was unable to stand up straight on walk without an assistance device. It seemed that her symptoms were psychological and possibly stemmed from emotional trauma.

After a few sessions of therapy and encouraging her to walk straight, she began to make slow and steady progress. It was not until we returned home to the states when we received amazing news from our physical therapists that Sharon had begun to leave her room more and attend the art classes 🎨on site at the hospital. She eventually gained strength and confidence to stand up straight and now she is able to walk without an assistance device.

We are so proud of her and the courage it took to make this change for herself.

At Compassion PT’s two locations in Kenya, children born with cerebral palsy is very prevalent. Our therapists work hard daily to help these children with strength, mobility, and stability to walk. Most of these children require assistive devices and splints in order to stand vertical and be able to walk. Finding for these types of devices is scarce so the whole clinical team works hard to get these children the resources that they need.

Shantel and Victor are good examples of praise stories where they have better function and quality of life due to physical therapy and these devices.

To help get these devices into the hands of our therapists, you can click on the LINK for more details:

The right equipment is essential in helping our patients become stronger and pain free.

The wall ladder is one of the tools we use frequently as seen here at our clinic in Mexicali.

Some of the benefits include :

🪜Stretching & Mobility
🪜Strength Training
🪜Spinal Decompression
🪜 Balance & Coordination
🪜Rehabilitation

Going into this new year, we are in need of more. If you would like to contribute towards providing wall ladders for our clinics here is the link:
