I am currently looking for caregivers, female and male. What with so many people without work, I am busier than ever. Families are keeping their loved ones at home where they are safe. I work with All Saints Hospice so I get referrals from them to provide care for families. I can be reached by email, mjonescms@aol.com, private message or phone which I have provided on this page.

Just a reminder the holidays are upon us. It is a time for us to connect with our family and friends. Let us not forget those who are alone with no one to look in on them. Depression is so heightened over the holidays. We should always be aware of neighbors, friends, elderly and family members who may be alone and reach out. If you know someone who may need help or just want to see a kind face, please let's not ignore them.
A kind gesture, a little love and kindness go a long way.
❤️❤️❤️❤️ Happy Thanksgiving all

My condolences to the Claro family for the loss of their beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather and friends. He was a very prominent figure in his community and will be missed by many. I have had the privilege of providing care for this lovely gentleman for the past several months. He was so loved by my caregivers who were so dedicated to him and the family.

Born in Los Angeles on January 27, 1930, Frank is survived by his three children and their spouses, Rosemarie and Bob Lippman, Mary Linda and George Daddona, Joe Claro and John Buehler; five grandchildren, Dr. Nicole Daddona, Michelle Daddona, Michael Daddona, Kara Brown, Kief Lippman, and six great-grandchildren, Kayli, Kamryn, Noah, Anaya, Micah and Jax. As one of the founders of Claro's Italian Markets, Inc., Frank worked with his family for most of his life. He was a kind and generous man who loved people and was very active in the Italian American community. Frank was a proud member of Ramona Parlor #109 Native Sons of the Golden West, the San Gabriel Valley Model "A" Restorers' Club, UNICO, the Garibaldina M.B. Society, the Sons of Italy and the Historic Italian Hall Foundation. He was a remarkable man who served as a loving inspiration to his friends and family. Frank will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Villa Scalabrini Retirement Center or the NSGW Cleft Palate Fund c/o Ramona Parlor #109. Visitation services will be held at Forest Lawn Mortuary in Covina Hills on Wednesday, August 7th from 6-9pm. A mass will be held at St. Peter's Italian Catholic Church on the following day at 10:30am. Valet parking will be provided. There will be a reception at La Casa Italiana immediately following the mass.

A lovely story

One of my caregivers who is with this sweet couple called me as she does regularly to tell me how the shift went. I just had to share this because it is the sweetest thing. The daughters were so delighted and overwhelmed with the caregiver's love and compassion

I have recently started care for a lovely couple, the husband is 92 with Parkinsons and the wife is 84 with dementia. They have been married for 65 years and the daughters told me they always go everywhere together. When my caregiver began caring for them, they were insistent they didn't need help. As each day progressed, they began to feel comfortable with the new caregiver who included them in the meal preparation and tasks that the wife had usually done so she would feel she was a part of the care of her husband and also giving them both their independence, dignity and respect. The wife, having dementia, gets a little confused at night and wanders. My caregiver told me she was sleeping on the sofa in the den when about 1 AM the wife came downstairs and told the caregiver she was afraid because there was a strange man in her bed. The caregiver comforted her and assured her it was okay, the man was her husband. The caregiver sat down with her on the sofa and they both fell asleep. About 3 AM the husband came downstairs looking for his wife and the caregiver made room for him on the sofa with she and his wife and they all slept sitting up on the sofa together. The love and compassion my girls have is so touching. Now the wife says the caregiver is her best friend, her sister. I just had to share this sweet story. I love what I do and I love my girls. Caregivers are God's angels on this earth❤️
