Is there a difference between a registered dietitian and a nutritionist? YES! YES! YES! Courtney, our on staff registered dietitian has a Masters degree in nutrition, did a one year internship, and must complete continued education every year to maintain her credentials. A nutritionist does not do any of these things.

Gastric Bypass surgery is the weight loss surgery option which has been around for the longest time. Weight loss is great with this procedure. Patients that get this procedure also have improvement of their diabetes, blood pressure, and Gastro-esophageal Reflux disease the day after surgery!
