Like any meditation, sound meditation is a practice. Whether you are experiencing a sound bath outdoors or indoors, the space will likely include unexpected sounds beyond our control. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚. Some will challenge our ability to come back to center more than others. I just recently experienced this as a participant at a large group sound bath. My struggle with it became a distraction and my frustration with that distraction became a frustration towards myself for allowing it to get to me as much as it did. This became an entirely new practice at that moment as it revealed more about my state of mind and presence. Please have patience with where you are in your own practice (I find it to be more fluid than we realize!), be kind to yourself 💞

Today’s moon phase is actually the waxing Gibbous (refinement, momentum and adjustment), but this waning crescent phase pulled from our Desert Moon Bowl Oracle pull today, has an important message for us. Together these two moon phases are reminding us of the value and necessity for rest in our self-care as a way to keep our momentum going:

WANING CRESCENT MOON. Prioritize self-care. This moon phase is about self-reflection and recharging your spirit. Surrender to deep rest and quiet introspection. Cleanse and release for preparation. Find comfort in the “in between“ time of solitude.

Rest and restore…this was a very relaxing afternoon spent with a couple of friends at a local museums’ mindful art workshop. Meditative and in the flow. But as you can see, sound healing was on my mind!
