San Diego, California (at The Cottage Clinic in Rancho Santa Fe, a private nature retreat).
12 CE’s available for Psychologists and other mental health professionals attending with their partner.
Some Couples come for a tune up or relationship enrichment. Other couples come in distress, hoping for dramatic improvement to their relationship.
All Committed Couples are welcome.

The Hold Me Tight® Workshop for Couples was created by Dr. Sue Johnson and is based on
Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy,
and the international best-selling book "Hold Me Tight: 7
Conversations for a Lifetime of Love" by Dr. Sue Johnson.
This is a positive, research-based program for all committed
couples that want to strengthen and deepen their relationship. We learn and practice skills for how to come together when things sometimes feel like they are coming apart.
Understanding what is at the root of most conflicts between
you and your partner, and how to change those moments has
been a game changer for many couples.
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy has been shown through
research to be the most effective approach to helping couples
grow their bond and ability to work through challenging
moments that inevitably arise in life.
The Weekend at the Cottage Clinic is typically limited to 12 Couples. We have therapist facilitators to assist couples as needed during their exercises throughout the weekend (usually 1 facilitator for every two couples). Lodging is not included.
