🦃 Happy Thanksgiving

From the Turkey Trot to dinner, games, and dessert… nothing beats the people you’re surrounded by 🫶🏻

This year gratitude hits a lil different. Our family has had to walk through making some of the hardest decisions ever the last few months - and yet here we are. My dad is HOME and we have been given the gift of extra time… something so many never get.

Extra time isn’t something life hands out often, so when it does, you hold it close. You soak in every laugh, every hug, every moment. Because tomorrow isn’t promised, and we never know what the day may bring.

So today, I’m extra thankful for this bonus time with family and the love we still get to share ❤️

November is here — and it’s my BIRTHDAY month! 🥳✨

I couldn’t have imagined a better way to kick it off than celebrating one of the biggest milestones of my best friend’s life — her wedding! 💍❤️

22 years of friendship, adventures, late-night talks, nursing shifts, and showing up for each other through everything. Watching her walk into this new chapter had my heart overflowing. 🥹💖

There’s nothing I love more than celebrating and loving on the people who mean the most. This month, I’m holding gratitude, connection, and pure joy close — because life is meant to be celebrated. 🥂💫

𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 ✌️𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐬⁣

This adventure has been on my list for the last 7yrs! Not far—just needed the time 𝘢𝘯𝘥 the right person. 🫶🏻⁣
⁣
We talked about. We booked it!⁣
2 days, 1 night⁣
16 mi paddle, ~5hrs⁣
No agenda, just adventure 🌲⁣
⁣
Well. The first 2 miles took us 1hr. 😳⁣
We started strong—until we realized we were sitting backwards and had paddled in circles a couple of times 😅 (first sandbar snack break = course correction). ⁣
⁣
𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝘖𝘯𝘦, 𝟺 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯, 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘵 𝘶𝘱 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱.⁣
⁣
We checked out the sandbar while sharing stories, tried some really good (& some really bad) dried meals, listened to the night come alive and made memories we’ll hold onto forever 🫶🏻⁣

𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘸𝘰? 12 miles, a few sandbar stops, hot sun, breathtaking views, and already planning the next one. ⁣
⁣
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬? 𝐔𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝. 🛶💚⁣

But first. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all of the phone calls, texts, messages here, cards, etc for my birthday this week! Y’all really know how to make a girl feel loved 🫶🏻⁣

It was a great day filled with a turkey trot, donuts 🍩, family time, decorating for Christmas at my parents and of course TURKEY & CAKE 🎂⁣

And the BEST birthday present ever was THIS GUY 🐾 So thankful to Mike and his family for choosing ME to be his mom ❤️. Steele is exactly what I didn’t know I needed! He fills my heart with so much joy, laughter and love everyday from his excited wigglebutt, to his persistence when he wants to stay outside and play, his sense of adventure on hikes, to some once in awhile snuggles and always being my shadow from the moment I get up to when I get home and call it a night. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!⁣
