National CRAYON Day! So we made some vibrant SUNCATCHERS out of crayons! 🖍🌞

This afternoon, the musical group, Sharps and Flats, performed for our residents!

They are known for playing Christian music, encouraging sing-alongs, and performing original songs, making them a favorite between both buildings. The residents absolutely loved the performance and are already looking forward to having them come back again soon!

Today is 'NATIONAL TAKE A VIRTUAL VACATION DAY'! So Building 1 armchair traveled to beautiful ALASKA!!🐳🫎🐻🦅🏔With the help of an interactive armchair travel video that gave us a beautiful tour, some fun trivia, and some great pictures from a staff member who was recently there! We also enjoyed trying some SMOKED SALMON DIP on crackers and came back with some fun post cards that made us all laugh:)!! **Armchair Travels in Memory Care can be extremely beneficial as it stimulates memories, reminiscing, boosts cognitive engagement, improves mood, reduces anxiety with a sense of purpose & adventure and engages ALL the senses**❤️

Thanks to all those who joined us this afternoon for 'Family Bingo'!! Always the last Saturday of the month 1:30pm-3:00pm! Next one is April 25th:) Family & Friends of Residents welcomed!! Come join us next month for some fun prizes!!

BUILDING 1 enjoyed our "Traveling Trunk of Treasures" today. Activity Director Jenny brought in her Great Grandpa's Concertina to share with the residents!🪗 Also an old' World War Ration Book', an old School Book from the 20's, a cocktail glass from the 30's and also an old collectable doll! Residents enjoyed checking out all these treasures, and reminiscing of antiques they have collected over the years:)

Our Kitchen Club group was hard at work this week making Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Brownie Bites! We made both the brownie batter and cookie dough from scratch to create this delicious three-layer treat.
