There was a false accusation posted on Facebook about RCPD taking orders from City Councial.
"The RCPD from pressure from RC Council is pushing out all the homeless from the downtown areas".
What's really going on.
UUWS followed up on this and the only thing that's different is RCPD has put out extra patrols in the downtown area due to increasing violence in the homeless community, 2-murders and 3-attempted murders since Jan 1st. as well as other increases in violent and petty crimes.
Where are the out cries on these violent acts against our communities? Everyone just wants to bash the cops! What are you doing to help? Have any suggestions? Many of us, AIM included have tried several times over the years to use community/Urban patrols, no body shows up! nobody wants to help! They just want to bitch about the cops.
We are not defending the cops! We are seeking solutions, and community involvement. If you see law enforcement doing something wrong, take out your phone: Record, document, and report it, then follow up!
We fixed the Police complaint system so the public can have easier access to them, (Except PCSD) But nobody is using them, and they can be filed anonymously.
Posting false accusations, and rumors without any validation is just stirring up the community and escalating hate and division. In closing, please offer solutions. Let's create unity and not division. Let's start working together for a safer community.
