One of our favorite parts of this work is watching our clients light up from the little things — a favorite holiday treat, a visit from someone familiar, a new winter outfit, or even just a conversation that makes them smile.

These moments remind us why we do what we do.

Helping Youth Transition to Adulthood
🎓 Turning 18 shouldn’t mean losing support.

Every year, dozens of young people in South Dakota “age out” of the DSS guardianship program. Many still need guidance with health, housing, education, and life decisions — but the state’s support ends when they turn 18.

Dakota Guardianship steps in to provide continued guardianship and advocacy, helping these young adults build stable, independent lives.
