Racers and Participants,
Thank you for joining us for our 2nd Annual Monster Dash for Sobriety Fun Glow Run/Walk! We are excited to have you all, regardless of your age or running experience, join us on October 24th, 2025, for a fun evening of events. This event is not just about raising awareness, but also about having a great time with your friends and family. The purpose of this event is to bring awareness towards substance use disorders and the devastating effects substance use has on individuals and families within our communities. We hope that anyone struggling finds the courage to reach out and ask for help and know they do not have to do it alone. Please take note that this event is free. However, we are accepting free-will donations, which will go towards providing food for clients.
We look forward to seeing you all there! Please see below for more information on some of the events.
Registration begins at 5 PM at the north shelter at Centennial Park. If you pre-registered with us online, thank you! However, you still need to stop by the registration table to sign your waiver and collect your swag bag. During Registration, the National Guard is hosting fun activities for families, including laser tag, corn hole, and pedal carts. So come, register, and stay for the fun while you wait for your race!
๐๐จ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ฌ๐ก: This is the first event for the littles, roughly ages 0-4ish, starting at 5:30. This event will be a short run (50 meters) towards a bunch of candy at the finish line.
๐๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ: The monster miler is a 1-mile run starting at 6:00 PM at the American Legion and runs down Garden Street towards the bridge at Brookside Apartments. Once at the bridge, you cross, then run down Freedom Trail to the dip bridge, turn around, then run back on Freedom Trail to Centennial and finish through the Halloween chute!
๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐ฎ๐ง: The 5k Glow Run starts at 6:30 PM at the American Legion and takes some of the same path as the monster miler. However, rather than heading south down Freedom Trail, the path takes you on a left turn heading north, back towards Centennial. You will run past Centennial and head out towards Chautauqua Park. This route has many details, and a briefing will be given at the race. Be advised that this route runs on streets, sidewalks, and trails. Please remember to bring your flashlight!
Lastly, we have many finisher prizes, and remember to wear your costume, as we are giving out awards for the best costumes!!
Sincerely,
Your friends at ARCBH
