The holidays are joyful and today was an especially joyful day as we celebrated Rafael Mendez receiving the Gift of Sight through one of LifeSight's community outreach programs that provides sight-saving surgery to restore vision, independence, and livelihood to the individuals served by the program. Our heartfelt thanks to Rafael's surgeon, Dr. Adam Jorgensen of Black Hills Regional Eye Institute & Laser Vision Center, pictured here with Rafael and his daughter, Dulce, Dr. Tammy Hersch of Family Optical, who referred Rafael to Gift of Sight, and our program partner, Dakota Lions Sight & Health. Rafael, we are so very happy to have made your Christmas merry & bright!🎁🎄🎅

Is the smoke in the air bothering your eyes? Make sure to NOT rub them, but instead, use a warm compress to help soothe the irritation as well as use moisturizing eye drops throughout the day. If you are having any additional optical issues call your OD right away!
