Rural Roots Yoga To bring peace and balance to rural areas through the teaching of yoga. I believe yoga should be available to everyone not just those in bigger cities.

Hi, I'm Jacquie! I'm a wife, mom, massage therapist, and yoga teacher. But before I'm any of those, I'm a woman. For years I have struggled to find balance between all of those titles. Quite honestly I think it's an ever changing balance. Yoga came into my life during a time of searching. I did yoga DVDs in the past and was no longer working with a personal trainer on a regular basis, I wanted something different. I found a group of older gals near my small town that held weekly yoga classes, and I fell in love. It was everything I felt I was missing. For that one hour, once a week I wasn't a wife, mom, massage therapist...I was Jacquie, and for the first time in awhile I felt recharged, peaceful, and balanced. For me, yoga means learning to accept. It gives me the space to take a step back and accept where I am at today and where I am headed. It gives space in my thoughts to assess what is important and what isn't. With my cheerful personality you can expect fun, challenging classes, not only physically but mentally as well. And hopefully you too are able to achieve some peace and balance. Namaste,

As we say good-bye to the Ravenna studio I invited all my yogis, past, present and future for a final in person class in Ravenna.

This class will be the perfect blend of yoga flow and our beloved 12 Days of Christmas class all rolled into one beautiful 90 minute class, closing this chapterā¤ļø

The closing of a chapterā€¦orā€¦the opening of a new one.
Iā€™ve struggled the last few days to properly articulate what this yoga studioā€¦the yogis who have come down my stairs have meant to me.

As Iā€™m sure most of you have heard, there was a fire Sunday evening in a building next to my yoga studio. And while the studio didnā€™t suffer any fire damage, the amount of smoke and water damage was massive. With that Iā€™ve made the tough decision to close my yoga doors earlier than expected.

It saddens my heart for all my yogis who have been so dedicated to their practice. I canā€™t even begin to put into words how much I have enjoyed all our time in the studio. Thereā€™s not many people who can make a 4:50am alarm enjoyable. But coming to teach you these last 9 years, has been truly one of the best experiences of my life.

Thank you for trusting me to guide you.
Thank you for allowing me space to grow and try new things.
Thank you for being your authentic selves, no matter the emotions you were coming into class with.
Thank you for every smile, every drop of sweat, every muttered cuss word when Astronaut in the Ocean came on, every breath, and every single day that you chose to live a little more in line with your intentions.
I canā€™t express my gratitude for each of youā¤ļø
Itā€™s been my honor to hold space for youā¤ļø
