Our speech therapist and rehab director, Kathryn, recommended The Ellington to her dad when he was having difficulty recovering from his knee replacement. After 2 months of attending another outpatient therapy clinic, Mr. Henry underwent a knee manipulation and was admitted to our facility for a week of intensive rehab. Once he returned home, he continued with outpatient physical therapy services at the Ellington. There is just something extra special about our staff choosing The Ellington of Rayne for their loved one! Read about Mr. Henry’s experience below:

“The staff is always very attentive. They are friendly, polite, and helpful. The accommodations were comfortable and kept very clean. The meals were good, generous portions and on time. The workout area was clean and the equipment was well maintained. Emily and Adam worked with me to gain more stamina, flexibility and balance. They are very professional and so helpful. It was 2 months of lots of work and patience. I would highly recommend doing in-patient and outpatient therapy at the Ellington.”

Thank you to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church of Rayne for including The Ellington in the Marian Procession today! It was beautiful and our residents enjoyed it very much! ❤️

The procession will be at The Ellington around 11:15AM tomorrow, December 7th. ❤️

Plans are to begin the procession with a rosary, travel to the Ellington and sing songs for the residents and then on our return to Church we will recite a litany. Join us tomorrow for this special event honoring Our Mother Mary! 🙏

This semester students from the dementia class at the UL Graduate Department of Communicative Disorders spent time learning from our wonderful residents and staff here at The Ellington! We love to give opportunities for students to learn how to provide top-notch, compassionate care to the geriatric population!
