Thank you to Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church of Rayne for including The Ellington in the Marian Procession today! It was beautiful and our residents enjoyed it very much! ❤️

The procession will be at The Ellington around 11:15AM tomorrow, December 7th. ❤️

Plans are to begin the procession with a rosary, travel to the Ellington and sing songs for the residents and then on our return to Church we will recite a litany. Join us tomorrow for this special event honoring Our Mother Mary! 🙏

This semester students from the dementia class at the UL Graduate Department of Communicative Disorders spent time learning from our wonderful residents and staff here at The Ellington! We love to give opportunities for students to learn how to provide top-notch, compassionate care to the geriatric population!

November was spent celebrating our kind and compassionate nurse, Jewel Hopkins! Jewel has been a nurse for 2 years, and has spent 7 months at The Ellington.

“My favorite thing about working at the Ellington is that I have time during my shifts to get to know my residents and form relationships with them.”

When Jewel is not working she enjoys reading, going to estate sales and watching movies with her fiancé! Thank you Jewel for all the love and care you give to our residents! ❤️ 🩺

Happy holidays!! Our annual Angel tree is up and ready!! Each angel represents what our residents would like for Christmas! Please come pass by and grab an Angel and bless our residents!! Gifts are due December 18th!!! Thank yall for the support!

Last night some of our residents got to listen to Rayne Highs Band before they head off to the state championship today! A time was had! Good luck RHS band!
