📍 What Is Sciatica?

Sciatica is irritation of the sciatic nerve, usually causing:
• Pain in the low back
• Tight glutes
• Pain down the back of the leg
• Tingling or numbness

It’s often caused by tight piriformis, glutes, hip rotators, or low-back compression.

✅ 5 Things That Actually Help

1️⃣ Gentle Movement (Don’t Freeze!)

Long sitting makes it worse.
✔️ Short walks
✔️ Light hip mobility
✔️ Avoid staying in one position too long

2️⃣ Figure 4 Stretch (Piriformis Release)

Lay on your back. Cross one ankle over opposite knee.
Pull the leg toward you.
Hold 30 seconds. Breathe slowly.

3️⃣ Glute Trigger Point Release

Use a massage ball against a wall.
Lean into tight spots in your glute.
Slow, steady pressure.
(If it causes sharp nerve pain — back off.)

4️⃣ Hamstring + Hip Flexor Stretch

Tight hips pull on the low back.
Open the front AND back of the leg.
