Kicking a ball is much more than making contact with your foot! It involves a combination of physical movements, biomechanics, and coordination. Balance has to maintained on the non-kicking leg, which is typically our weakest. Weight-shifting to one side is not easy for everyone. Quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, core, hip flexors, and upper body are all involved! Whether you’re kicking a football or soccer ball, remember that it’s no walk in the park!!
