Let’s talk about ✨ Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) ✨

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts & companies offering MLD or Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage… I don’t ever want to drag other people or small businesses but I do want people to be made aware of false advertising.
With that being said MLD is NOT for weight loss or cellulite reduction. ❗️

So what is MLD?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle technique that stimulates the lymphatic system to drain fluid/waste from the body.
Using these gentle methods to open up the main clusters of lymph nodes & slowly pulling up towards the heart.
•Cervical (Neck)
•Axillary (Armpits)
•Abdominal
•Inguinal (Tops of thighs)
•Popliteal (Knees)

What is MLD for?

Manual Lymphatic Drainage can be helpful for anyone who is healthy enough to receive massage & body work. It helps pull stagnant waste our bodies hold onto back to the heart to be filtered out through urine, f***s, & sweat.
It is helpful post surgery, cancer treatments, conditions that cause edema, & if you are feeling like your immune system needs some healing. ( Some conditions require monitoring by a medical professional. MLD is NOT wound care & does not care for outside of the body drainage after surgery )

•Improve circulation
•Overall health benefits

In some cases MLD can be helpful to reduce bloating in the abdomen by stimulating movement to help relieve the bowels but it is not used for weight loss.

I always offer education & show you how to practice self MLD at your appointment. The goal for me is to help you help yourself.
So please be aware of false advertising.
