Berks County TASC Serving the uninsured and publicly insured of Berks County, PA. Assessment and Treatment Referral; MH Case Management; Recovery Support Services.

Berks County TASC is a non-profit human services agency serving the uninsured and publicly insured residents of Berks County, Pennsylvania. TASC provides drug/alcohol intake assessments and referrals to all levels of care/treatment. TASC has a Mental Health Case Management Unit, with 5 full-time case managers. TASC also has a Recovery Support Services Unit, with 5 staff, providing addiction peer support to individuals new to recovery. TASC operates a 24 hour Opiate Overdose Survivor Hotline. Recovery Support Specialists will meet with survivors in the community and at Reading Hospital's ECU and Penn State St. Joseph's ER, at the patient or family's request.

While therapy, support groups, and treatment services are essential, one powerful (and often overlooked) ally in recovery is nature. Especially in the spring, when the world feels renewed, spending time outdoors can have a meaningful impact on mental health and long-term sobriety.
