TEM Care’s goal is to improve lives through Teaching, Education, and Mentoring that leads to increased independence at home, in community, or at work. Focused on providing support to individuals with disabilities and mental health disorders, TEM Care’s main goal is to improve the lives of those they serve through (T)eaching (E)ducation and (M)entoring that leads to a lifestyle of increased independence at home, in the community, in the work place or all the above. Services provided may include: Behavioral Specialist, In-Home and Community Support, Respite, Supported Employment, Vocational Assessment, and Job Finding. Assistive technology (AT) comes in many forms that include both high tech and low tech with the purpose of enhancing functional capabilities, promoting independence, and improving quality of life. Items like communication boards, text-to-speech software, pencil grips, etc. are all forms of AT. AT Month is a call to action to amplify voices of those who use AT and advocate for continued innovation to ensure technology is equitable.

Stephanie decorated several Christmas trees at a local assisted living complex for their annual Christmas party/craft show. She also got to spend some time with the facility's therapy dog. We're sure the residents will enjoy seeing her decorations this holiday season. Thanks for sharing!

Mary and Stephanie attended another cooking class with Tracy and Jan. They worked together to make sticky gingerbread cakes, cranberry curd, pumpkin mousse and shortbread. Yum! Thanks for sharing!

In November, we take time to recognize and honor the 63+ million family caregivers who devote their time, energy, and love to others across the United States. TEM Care is grateful to those who support our participants, especially within their own home settings. Thank you for all you do- here's to you!

Stephanie, Mary, Tracy, and Jan attended another cooking class through their local HCQU. As a team, they prepared pork schnitzel, homemade noodles, ted cabbage, and molasses cookies. Pictured you'll find Mary kneading the dough for noodles, Stephanie chopping food and pounding the pork chops, and Jan helping Mary roll out the dough. You'll also notice the final product- which looks delicious! Great teamwork ladies, thank you for sharing with us!

Joshua and Yeni visited the Jim Thorpe Train Rides at Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway. Trains are one of Joshua's passions. He enjoys riding, photographing, and videoing various types of trains. Joshua was excited to board the 2102. They enjoyed their time there. Thanks for sharing!

"Great food and great company are two of life's simplest yet greatest pleasures." Today Jose and Brandy worked on cooking skills. Jose loves to cook! The recipe he selected was pizza bruschetta. He used seasonings, tomatoes, spinach and cheeses to make the final product. Yum!
