In the stories told at Kildare, the woman Brigid is born at sunrise, as her mother stands straddling a threshold, one foot out and one foot in. When Brigid’s head comes out, the sun’s rays crown her with flame. We can see why she is the patron of people who open doors between the worlds – of shamans, seers and poets – and of all who work with fire, in the peat, in the forge, in the cauldron of imbas, the fire of inspiration.

Made the ancestors a fresh cup of coffee. It's been a few days since I've sat here just for me... to receive... Even with the work I do with my clients every day, I sometimes forget how quickly sitting in simple ceremony/ prayer brings calm to my soul.
Offered gratitude (and a small plant) to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Her medallion appeared, perfectly placed in view on my dresser shortly after the onset of George's illness. Her words of comfort are beautiful and will be part of my daily devotion moving forward...
"Do not fear illness or any other harmful accident or pain. Am I not here, I who am your mother? ... Are you not in the hollow of my mantle, the crossing of my arms?".

They told you
God was angry.
That He sat on a throne of thunder
brow furrowed
fingers twitching with judgment
unable to stomach the stink of you—
your sin
your skin
your birth-blood and midnight thoughts.

They said
you were born filthy
That your heart was black
your body suspect
your desire a thing to be battled
or buried.

They said
God could not bear to look at you
without Jesus
as a kind of divine disguise
a cosmic cover-up
for your unholy everything.

But love pie—
what if they were wrong?
What if they wrote the story
with cracked quills
and crumbling fear
blinded by power
and parchment?

What if the God behind the curtain
was not wrathful at all
but wild with love?
What if She
was mother as much as father
river as much as fire
neither male nor female
and both
and more—
the breath between stars
the blood between thighs
the whisper in the womb
that says yes to life
even when life has been
taught to say no?

What if God
delighted in your birth
kissed your wet skin
sang you into existence
with the same mouth
that sang the galaxies?

What if God
adores the way you laugh too loud
loves your body
your real one
with its stretch marks and scars
its hungers and heat
its sacred mess?

What if the bleeding of women
was never shame
but sacrament?
A holy tide.
An altar cloth.
A rhythm that pulsed
with the heartbeat of the Divine.

And what if Jesus
didn’t come to save you
from God—
but to show you
who God really is?
A God who washes feet
instead of pointing fingers.
Who dines with immigrants and heretics
and names them Beloved.
Who walks on water
not to impress
but to whisper
“You can too.”

A God who
gathers the outcast
crowns the q***r
lifts the l***r
and says to the child
of every body and background—
“You are mine.
You are whole.
You are enough.”

This is not the gospel
they preached from pulpits
lined with fear.
This is the Gospel
of the Womb,
of Wild Mercy,
of the Holy Yes.

So take off the cloak of shame.
It was never yours.
Step into the garden again.
Barefoot.
Glorious.
Free.

The God who made you
wants you exactly as you are
Radiant.
Real.
And already
home.

I've been having dreams about a quartz generator that contained sharp blue "beams of light." In the dream, it held the power to instantly balance a being's shadow & light. Mel & I went on an adventure to find a rock like this for me to actually hold in my hands! In typical Mel fashion, he spoiled me with TWO Blue Needle Quartz specimens! A generator AND a Vogel! The blue "needles" show up when they are lit up in dark room 🥰💙

Join Kim Nice of Gentle Arrow Energy Healing on Sunday, March 29, 2026, 1030am - 2pm, for a day of ceremony and creation at East-West Energy Department in Shillington, PA.

Each participant will craft an 18 to 20-inch, single sided, maple wood frame medicine drum of either Deer, Elk, or Buffalo hide. (Size and hide subject to supplier availability) Each hide choice brings with it a unique energy.

Those who have experience birthing drums are invited to create a 24-inch drum. Please reach out to Kimberly for prices and registration for Advanced Drum Creation.

We will begin the workshop with ceremony connecting to Mother Earth and to the heartbeat of your drum. The drum is then tied and coaxed into form…all the while receiving your energy and intentions. Finally, it is laced in a sacred pattern representing the medicine wheel and four cardinal directions. You will leave the workshop with a completed raw drum. The drum takes about a week to naturally dry/cure in a cool, dry location. Once dry, it can be personalized with paint, beads or feathers if desired. Each drum is unique in color and tone. An information packet including drum aftercare and shea butter are included.

Everything you need to create your drum and be**er will be provided. You can bring your own stick to create a be**er if you wish, but one will be provided.

This is an indoor event. Dress in layers for comfort, as birthing drums is intense work…but EXTREMELY rewarding!

Pack a snack and beverage if you wish.
