🌿 Friday Reflection – Signs We’re Feeling Run Down
There are a few things I tend to notice when people—or honestly, when I—start feeling run down.
• Energy feels inconsistent or low
• Little things feel more overwhelming than usual
• Sleep doesn’t feel as restorative
• Digestion feels “off”
• Motivation drops, even for things we usually enjoy
• We push through instead of listening
What’s important to remember is this:
These aren’t failures. They’re signals.

While you humans are stressing over complicated forms and deadlines, I’m over here finding myself a little sunlight… or at least remembering a wonderful summer moment when I could soak it up. ☀️

If I had to choose one habit that consistently supports healthy digestion and regular bowel movements, it would be this:
Eat in a calm, relaxed state.
Digestion doesn’t begin in the stomach—it begins in the nervous system. When we eat while stressed, rushed, or distracted, the body shifts into fight-or-flight mode and digestion slows. This can contribute to bloating, constipation, or irregular bowel movements.
When we slow down and eat calmly, we activate the rest-and-digest state. This supports:
• Proper enzyme release
• Better nutrient absorption
• Healthier bowel motility
Simple ways to start:
• Sit down when you eat
