Peter Criss discusses the stigmas surrounding male breast cancer. When Criss developed breast cancer in 2008, the early detection of a lump saved his life. Since then, Criss has been a vocal advocate against the stigma of breast cancer in men and continues to spread awareness of this rare disease.

In 2018, Care to Give kicked off their anniversary celebration with an inspirational speech from award-winning journalist and cancer survivor, Joan Lunden. Joan is a survivor of triple negative breast cancer and has used her visible career to raise awareness and build supportive networks for cancer patients and working women balancing their careers with family. She serves as a resource for women surviving and living with breast cancer and is a health and wellness advocate who epitomizes survivorship- both personally and professionally. Joan is an amazing woman and an inspiration to many.

Did you know that Care to Give has owned and operated the Riverview Medical Center Gift Shop since the 1960s and that all profits go back to support our patients and community?

Today, the Gift Shop plays an important role supporting the mission of Care to Give and is a welcome respite for visitors and Riverview team members alike.
