he region that offers subsidized care. The goal of all treatment and services is to support every person in their desire to live the best life possible in the least restrictive setting within their families and communities. The result for CPC clients -- a dramatic reduction in the need for inappropriate and costly use of emergency services, frequent inpatient hospitalizations or worse, incarceration for crimes committed because their mental health and substance abuse needs have not been addressed. CPC’s mission is to serve our communities by delivering evidence-based services in mental health, substance use, special education and physical health through an integrated system of care designed to promote wellness, recovery and productive lives. The Agency is responsive to the needs of the communities we serve with an emphasis on the needs of the most vulnerable in the planning and implementation of our services.

CPC was proud to congratulate Shannon Mosier, CPA, Manager, Smolin, Lupin & Company, who was honored as “Volunteer of the Year” by the Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce (EMACC) at the Annual Spinnaker Awards Dinner in March. CPC Board members and EMACC members, gathered to celebrate Shannon and recognize this special achievement. Board member Ray Eckhoff (pictured here) served as co-chair of the Spinnaker Awards event which was held at the beautiful Two River Theater, Red Bank.
We are especially grateful for Shannon’s volunteerism—and the collective efforts of her colleagues at Smolin, in organizing the annual holiday gift drive which benefits CPC. Each year, families connected to our Children’s Mobile Crisis Response program receive thoughtful gifts, essential household items, warm coats, and holiday treats because of their generosity. CPC is fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers supporting our community.

CPC’s Nikki Tierney was quoted in the National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s announcement of the new white paper addressing the value of peer support workers as a critical component in delivering better outcomes for people living with schizophrenia. Congratulations Nikki!
👇
“People living with schizophrenia benefit most from a person-centered, empathic and connected care ecosystem — one that values lived experience, trust and hope,” said Nicole Tierney, certified peer recovery specialist and certified recovery support practitioner at CPC Integrated Health in Eatontown, New Jersey. “This groundbreaking new white paper not only provides clear evidence that peer support programs achieve that, it also details the steps CCBHCs and other clinics can take to integrate peer support and enhance the experiences of people living with schizophrenia.” https://www.thenationalcouncil.org/news/schizophrenia-care-bristol-myers-squibb/

At CPC, we believe that every man, woman and child deserves a happy and healthy life where they can find friendship, success and well-being.
Every child wants to feel like they are cared about and loved. They want to explore and learn. They want to play and be around their peers. We think they deserve all these things.
Every adult wants to find something they care about, whether it be work or love or passion. They want to fill their days with things they enjoy doing, things that make them feel good, that they’re good at, that make a difference. They want to be close to people, to give and be given love, to feel supported and validated. We think every adult deserves these things.
For many children and adults, they have experienced adversity, trauma and hardship. They experienced a time when they did not know what to do or a time they felt all alone. They felt down, or scared, panicked or confused.
For some, this feeling was fleeting. This adversity withdrew. They found support or were able to make a change.
For others, they found escape in other ways. Some discover that feeling numb is better than feeling pain. Some decide being alone is a way to make sure they are not rejected. Some even believe that they would help the people around them if they were no longer around.
These people looking for escape are all around us. They are our mothers and brothers, neighbors and roommates. Our coworker, our boss, our teacher. The woman you see at the supermarket or the man who sleeps on the bench in the park. They are no different than you and me. They want all the same things that you do. And they deserve them too.
At CPC, we provide treatment and guidance to assist every individual in finding wellness and recovery. We have provided mental health, substance use and special education services since 1960 and continue this mission every day...because they deserve it.
