🧘‍♂️ 🪓 People are always surprised when they see both sides of my life. They think they couldn’t possibly coexist the way they do.
Yoga. Wellness. Nervous system regulation.
And logging roads, sawdust, steel, and the deep respect that comes from working with land that can humble you in a second.

This isn’t a contradiction to me.
It’s a conversation.

Logging teaches me strength, timing, restraint, and reverence.
Yoga teaches me how to listen, how to soften, how to recover and endure.

Same lessons. Different language.

It’s about noticing that the light is returning—and choosing not to squander it.

This is the season of the ember.
Not the blaze.
Not the burn-it-all-down transformation.
The slow, protected heat that keeps you alive through the long haul.

Radiant longevity lives here.

I’m not anti-aging.
I’m anti being taught to hate myself in stages.

I’m done with the quiet panic every birthday is supposed to bring.
Done with fixing what isn’t broken.
Done with shrinking my expectations for how good my body gets to feel.

I don’t want younger.
I want regulated.
I want strong joints, clear mornings, deep sleep, steady energy, desire that doesn’t apologize, and skin that reflects a life well-lived—not one constantly corrected.

This body has carried grief.
And joy.
And birth.
And resilience.
And pleasure.

It doesn’t need erasing.
It needs reverence.

Aging isn’t the enemy.
Disconnection is.
Exhaustion is.
Numbness is.

I’m not chasing time backward.
I’m moving forward—

Yes, the world is a flaming dumpster fire right now.
Unhinged. Loud. Exhausting.

And no—
doom-scrolling, panic-posting, or dissociating into wine and Netflix isn’t helping.

Here’s the feral truth no one wants to hear:

Your job isn’t to fix the world.
Your job is to not abandon yourself while it’s burning.

Regulate your damn nervous system.
Move your body like it matters (because it does).
Eat food that came from the earth, not a lab.
Touch trees. Sweat. Cry. Rest.
Tell the truth—even when your voice shakes.

Stop outsourcing your power to the news cycle.
Stop letting chaos run your hormones.
Stop waiting for things to “calm down” before you live.

The most rebellious thing you can do right now?
Stay embodied.
Stay sovereign.
Do the work in yourself—daily, relentlessly, unapologetically.

Healing has a way of asking bigger questions.

This ocular Lyme flare has been a pause.
A reckoning.
A moment to reassess where I am… and where I’m actually going.

I’m stirring the pot.
Choosing the road less traveled.
Letting things shift and change instead of forcing them to stay the same.

I still believe in as-is acceptance.
And—
I’m also choosing to feel ALL IN again.

All in with my body.
All in with my vitality.
All in with how I show up, how I live, how I express myself.

Maybe that means coloring my hair again—
not to fix anything,
but to match the vibrancy of my health as it returns.

Healing isn’t passive.
It’s not linear.
And sometimes it asks us to choose ourselves out loud.

This is me listening.
This is me adjusting.
This is me trusting the recalibration.

🌿 What I’ve learned this week (and why listening matters)

This week my body taught me something important.

What I thought for years was herpes or shingles in my eye…
what I tried to “push through”…
what always showed up in the middle of the night with pain, light sensitivity, and uncontrollable tearing…

✨ was actually ocular Lyme inflammation paired with mast cell activation.

And here’s the part that matters most:

My body was never betraying me.
It was communicating.



👁️ What I learned

Lyme doesn’t always shout from one place.
It whispers, migrates, alternates sides, and shows up where the nervous system is most sensitive — for me, my eyes.

Mast cells (immune sentinels that live along nerves and blood vessels) can become hyper-reactive after chronic illness and stress.
When they fire — especially at night — they can create intense pain, light sensitivity, and flooding tears that look viral… but aren’t.

The pattern matters more than the label.



🌙 Why it happens at night

At night:
• cortisol drops
• histamine rises
• the nervous system goes into repair mode

That’s when inflammation gets louder — not because you’re failing, but because the body finally has space to speak.



🧠 The biggest lesson

Healing isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about listening sooner.

Every flare is information.
Every symptom is feedback.
Every pause is wisdom — not weakness.

When I slowed down, adjusted support, and stopped stacking “fixes,” my body responded with relief.
