What an absolutely perfect fall we’ve had.

Giving thanks again today for all the women I know who are healers, including myself. On this beautiful, soft, fall day of B’elejeb’(9) Kawoq, you can light a candle or give thanks in your own way for the healing you’ve received, the babies that midwives have helped you to birth, and for your own healing abilities. Mine seem to have been written on the stars. And I’m grateful to have found my way here, to this work, to my amazing mentors and teachers, to Ixchel, and to the sacred Cholq’ij calendar.

Ixchel is pictured here, from the Dresden Codex, emptying her water jug - washing away what no longer serves us, washing away the old world, washing away our troubles, making room for something new…we hope in a gentle way. 😉

Taking another moment to give thanks for a great weekend in Anaconda!

As far as I’m concerned we are still
summer-ing!! But the signs of fall are here. And we will stretch it as long as we can.
For me, fall and winter will mean more time for hibernating but it also means that people will start thinking more about their health and become a little more introspective. Which often means the calls and messages I get throughout the summer about abdominal therapy will turn into scheduled appointments.
I want to take this moment to share with you an invitation to womb massage as well. You don’t have to have a womb for this incredible process I learned in March in Guatemala with Nana Lucy Kulum. This is deeper work, both physically and emotionally. Let me know if you’re interested in knowing more or want to schedule a time with me.

I highly recommend this book.
I also would love it back if you borrowed it from me!
You can easily find it online with a number of sellers.
Sprouts alone were not enough for me since I struggle with my gut flora but I know it can be a nice hormone boost.

From staying up late (can’t have FOMO!) to incredible, beautiful performances to dancing and so much fun - such immense gratitude to the organizers of montanafolkfest, to khumariyaanband for the dancing and intro to Pakistani fun, zahra_alzubaidi_ for making me cry multiple times with your soulful voice, and yeisonlandero for the intro to Cumbia! Ok I can’t list them all but we loved every minute and made so many memories. A million thanks and love to all who traveled so far to enrich our lives.
