Scammers are taking advantage of the current federal shutdown and SNAP benefit delays by texting recipients with fake "emergency relief" and links that are stealing personal information.
Protect yourself and your benefits by staying alert for scams asking for personal information like your EBT card number, PIN or personal details. If you get a suspicious message, donโt respond or click any links.
If you think you may have been scammed, contact local law enforcement.
