Ashe' Doula Services provides labor support for new and growing families. Our mission is to offer th Ashe’ Doulas was founded in 2017.

"Ashe’" comes from the African concept to conceive the power to make things happen and produce change. As Doula's of Ashe’, we base our principals on knowledge, understanding, and strength. Our own experiences through birth allowed us to become a light for other moms. We are grateful for the moments shared with moms and partners as we embrace the journey of new life.

Please join us this Friday for the Gifted Hands documentary centering homebirth. This is about starting with the black pregnant person trusting their gut when they were just a couple weeks shy from their due date and decided to not continue with their OB and their already scheduled hospital birth. To the black midwife who respected that only this pregnant person knows what is best for their bodies and supported them with the tools they needed to prepare for this home birth. To the that supported their daughter in their choice and was the doula and to the black mom and dad who birthed with in the past and decided that more stories about needed to be documented to empower other folks to birth from home. I’m so proud of this dynamic team and can’t wait to share this with you all. Join the chat and stay tuned to see what will be doing to center black pregnant folks. This is the Walcher’s Maneuver. From the Spinning Babies website (which you should check out!): “Walcher's Position will allow contractions to engage a baby that is high, not really in the pelvis yet. The baby may be stuck at the brim or inlet of the pelvis. Use this position through and between three contractions in a row to lower baby into a normal pelvic brim. Contractions make it work.”

Wether your a new mom a veteran, birthed a child, adopted a child etc, society gives us all these ways to classify but the truth is a mother is a heart function. The way your heart beats is different when you know your being counted on. When you know EVERY decision you make is based on someone else besides you. Today the world acknowledges you but everyday know that you are loved, know that your doing your best and know not one of us has it all figured out so go easy on yourself some days. Happy Mother’s Day and Happy born day for it’s the day your life changed as a woman forever. ❤️❤️

Met a mom today and of course I couldn’t resist asking about her belly As we were talking I asked “do you feel prepared” and her answer was no I’m scared...scared of dying, scared of my baby getting stuck afraid of the pain” but when she answered it was almost like she was afraid to admit these things like if she was expected to be strong and have it all together. Just go in and have this baby right?! Ladies if you feel like you need a doula get one! If you feel like you need CBE to help prepare you, get it! Do not let your concerns and fears be overshadowed by others opinions and statements. Do what you need to do for you! Many times moms will want the extra support but after discussing with “family” they change their minds. A doula works with the family to support your birth, so no fear grandmas 😃

Wether it’s expired or your pumping and dumping no one enjoys watching breast milk down the drain. Did you know you can use your milk for other things? Depending on how creative you actually want to be or if you have an influx of milk you don’t have to dump it. Even donating milk is an option (yes there are moms who use donated milk) thanks!

Sooooo vaginal dryness can be common during Pregnancy and or after due to breastfeeding. The reasoning behind this is imbalance in hormones, progesterone levels are high and estrogen levels are low. No worries simple things like a little coconut oil or this over the counter natural lubricant can help(it’s edible too🤫🤫cranberry flavored)
