Happy Veterans Day! We honored our 30 plus veterans today with a Veterans Breakfast followed by a Veterans Day assembly to show our gratitude for their sacrifices and years of service. Thank you to the veterans and to all who attended, thank you for showing your support. 🙏❤️

We took an outing today to the Behrens-Eaton House Museum, a restored Victorian house originally built in 1895. It houses an astoundingly beautiful and interesting collection of historical items collected by the Behrens-Eaton family over the past century. Shirley jumped at the opportunity to play "memories" on the lovely piano. We had a wonderful time.

Pumpkin bread, anyone? The rain may have been pouring down on the outside, but we were warm and cozy on the inside, with the delicious fragrance of pumpkin bread filling our side of Hilltop Springs. The ladies of memory care had a fun time getting their hands messy and making us all a delectable snack.

Today is National Stress Awareness Day and as a token of appreciation our Hilltop Springs staff members are being treated to a variety of stress relieving activities! They work so hard to provide quality care to our residents and we want to make sure they know how much we appreciate them! Thank you to Livia Brady for her efforts to organize this special day for our staff! Now just relax and enjoy!

Of course, one of the best things about Halloween is the cute children who come to trick-or-treat. In memory care, our monthly "Munchkin Brigade" came to visit in costume. After trick-or-treating from resident to resident, they gave us an adorable costume fashion show. The hugs given were sweeter than the candy.

More from our spooktacular Halloween party this year! We had such a wonderful time dressing up, doing the monster mash, eating way too much sugar and just laughing and giggling like children! Thank to The Pine Dogz for keeping us on our feet and moving to all our favorite Halloween songs!
