SEEKING LOCAL PIANO PLAYERS

Calling all local musicians, singers and activity performers! While we are looking for a pianist, we welcome anyone with a special talent or interactive activity they'd like to share. Whether you are a student or a pro, if you want to bring some joy to our residents and give back to the community we want to meet you!
- Creative Arts like painting demos, crafts
- Performance like magic shows, stand up comedy (family friendly) or music/singing
- Wellness : Chair yoga, guided meditation, or movement to music
- Special Presentations: on Travel, bird watching, or even antique "show & tell"
- Pet Visits : Registered therapy animals or educational animal talks.

🎄 Spread Holiday Cheer: Volunteer Groups Needed in December! 🎁

Bring the Magic of the Season to Our Residents!
We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate volunteer groups to share their time and talent with our wonderful residents throughout the month of December. Your efforts can make this holiday season truly special for them!

What We're Looking For:
We welcome all creative ideas, but here are some examples of activities groups could lead:

* 🎶 Musical Performances: Sing or Christmas Carol for our residents.
* ✂️ Festive Activities & Crafts: Lead a group in making a Christmas craft, decorating cookies, or writing holiday cards.
* 🎅 Special Appearances: Dress up as Santa Claus (or other holiday characters) to visit and hand out candy canes or small treats.
* 🎉 Interactive Entertainment: Organize a holiday-themed game, host a story-telling session, or put on a short skit.
We are open to all your creative suggestions! Let us know what your group would like to do.

Why Volunteer?
* Make a Difference: Bring joy, companionship, and a festive atmosphere to those who need it most.
* Community Connection: Engage your group in a meaningful, heartwarming activity.
* Flexible Scheduling: We will work with you to find a day and time that fits your group's December schedule.

Happy Faux-Feline Day! 🐾
It's National Cat Day, October 29th, and here at Copper Ridge Care Center, we're celebrating all our purr-fect pals!

While we don't have a live cat, many of our residents have found love and comfort in their special plush or robotic companion cats!

These faux-feline friends are amazing for senior well-being:

Companionship: They ease loneliness, just like a real pet.

Tactile Comfort: Petting soft fur (real or fake!) is a soothing activity.

Memory Connection: They help spark happy memories of past pets.

A cozy lap, a sweet face, and no litter box duty—it's a win-win! We love seeing the joy our residents get from their quiet, fuzzy sidekicks.

The halls of Copper Ridge were a sea of pink today! 💖 Our team proudly donned the color to participate in Think Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.
This cause touches so many lives, and we believe in the power of community to make a difference. Every piece of pink worn today is a reminder to prioritize health, encourage regular screenings, and uplift those who are currently fighting.
