Today we offered community training in Ono, where Shasta Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Preparedness and Engineering Director, Mark Belden, led an informative, hands-on session.

Community members learned critical, life-saving skills including hands-only CPR, how to administer Narcan, and techniques
to “Stop the Bleed.”

We’re proud to stay actively involved in our communities and support events that make a real difference.

We’re proud to celebrate a major milestone—our 200th WATCHMAN procedure at Shasta Regional Medical Center 🧡

This innovative treatment helps reduce stroke risk for patients with atrial fibrillation by preventing blood clots in the heart—often eliminating the need for long-term blood thinners.

As the only hospital in our area offering this procedure, we continue to deliver advanced heart care close to home so patients can heal surrounded by family, friends and community.

Milestone moments like this reflect why access to high-quality care matters so deeply in our community. It means fewer patients have to travel far for specialized treatment and more families can stay together during critical times.

This morning, some of Team Shasta showed up strong and united to support the Suzie Smith Memorial Run. A first time, truly meaningful event that brings our community together in remembrance and purpose. 💙

This memorial run honors Suzie Smith’s legacy of compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to patient care. The event not only celebrates her life, but also raises awareness and support for the causes she cared deeply about—ensuring patients in our community continue to receive the care, advocacy, and kindness she exemplified every day.

Suzie impacted lives through the long-standing partnership between Shasta Regional Medical Center and REACH Air Ambulance Service, and may other service-focused organizations. For years, she devoted herself to supporting patients, strengthening these collaborations, and helping ensure that critical care reached those who needed it most.

We are proud to carry forward her mission, her spirit, and her heart for service.

Today we had the pleasure of celebrating the amazing 2026 nursing graduates from Simpson University and Shasta College! 🎓💙

The room was full of energy, passion, and future RNs ready to make a difference at the bedside.

Graduates also heard from our directors about what it’s like to work across our units and why Shasta Regional Medical Center is such a great place to grow a nursing career.
