I am NOT good at putting gifts together.… not even a little. 😅
So I ordered these Valentine’s gift baskets from Pampered Porch and called it done!
Beautiful florals, great bottles, thoughtful details, all ready to gift with zero effort on my part. This is exactly the kind of thing I want to give, without having to curate it myself.

My word for 2026 is ESSENTIAL.
This year, I will filter decisions, commitments, and even ideas through one question:
Is this actually essential, or is it just familiar?
That mindset was reinforced by one of the best books I read this year, Essentialism by Greg McKeown. It’s a powerful reminder that clarity and progress don’t come from doing more. They come from identifying what truly matters and having the discipline to protect it.
Essential is about focus and choosing what strengthens and supports long-term outcomes instead of reacting to noise or default expectations.
When you commit to the essentials, decisions get clearer and confidence follows.

I took a walk in the clouds (aka ) today… ☁️
I finally took the time to look up this cloud we have been stuck underneath for WEEKS! Tule fog is a type of radiation fog (🤔 what does that mean?) that has been blanketing California’s Central Valley since November 24th. It is a 400 mile long fog bank stretching from Redding in the north to Bakersfield in the south!

🍽️ Cafe Maddalena’s soft opening was more than dinner — it was a celebration of community, perseverance, and local love! ❤️
As someone who’s invested in this town (literally and emotionally), it fills me with joy to see it thriving again. Cheers to new beginnings, old favorites, and the magic of small towns done right.
I love this town and the people who pour their hearts into keeping its charm alive — here’s to many more nights like this in Dunsmuir!

🌞 This reel by stopped me in my tracks. These 5 morning questions hit so deep I had to pause and write them down.
Lately, I’ve noticed how easy it is to start the day in reaction mode—grab the phone, check messages, fall into the agenda of others. But what if we paused first to ask better questions?
📓 Here are the 5:
What am I grateful for?

Where am I winning?

What must I let go of today?

What does my ideal day ahead look like?

What needs to be said at the end of my life?

This feels like a new daily habit I don’t want to miss. Grounding, clarifying, intentional. I can already feel the shift. ✨
