Some pictures captured right in Lakeside’s backyard this morning. A total lunar eclipse, nicknamed the "Worm Blood Moon," with the moon turning a coppery red for about 58 minutes as it passes through Earth's shadow. What an amazing and beautiful phenomenon to witness and capture on camera!

Thank you for believing in us (Nathan Jessen and Kayla Jessen) to continue providing the best quality of care and making this facility a home for our residents. We are truly honored and beyond excited for this dream and goal of ours to have become a reality because of the funding you provided!

🤩 FUNDED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD 🤩 - Congratulations to Lakeside Assisted Living Center in Redfield, SD, on their recently funded SBA 504 loan!

Ally Dakota Development partnered with Heartland State Bank (Redfield, SD) to finance the purchase of the real estate and FF&E of this long-standing community asset.

Lakeside has been serving Redfield since 1998, providing residents with a true home - and the care they are no longer able to provide for themselves.

Upon the prior owner's retirement, new owners Nathan and Kayla Jessen will ensure Lakeside remains locally owned and community-focused.

As the only assisted living center in Redfield, Lakeside plays a critical role in the community. Under the Jessens' ownership, the facility will increase marketing efforts and enhance operations using modern technology.

We're proud to support local ownership, community-based care, and the next chapter of Lakeside Assisted Living Center.

The outpour of support and generosity for this cause warms my heart! Only 2 residents left to adopt for Lakeside, but there are other folks in different facilities who would also benefit from being adopted. If you are able to contribute, I strongly encourage it as these are the things that put a smile on our older generations’ faces and show them a little extra love during times they may really need it.

Staff and residents partook in a New Year celebration this afternoon. Chili, oyster stew, ham & cheese sliders, and cream sandwiches with some sparkling grape juice for lunch and corn hole games afterward. Thank you to our staff, Brenda and Pam, for making sure the New Year started off with a bang! Wishing many blessings to all in 2026 from Lakeside!
