Q: Can a saline implant deflate after trauma?
A: Yes. If you have saline implants, even “minor” trauma can sometimes lead to a slow leak or sudden deflation. Dr. Rau commonly hears about this after things like kids bumping into the chest, slips/falls, or car accidents (seatbelt/airbag impact).

If you’ve experienced any of these bumps along the way, changes to watch for include: naticeable size difference, shape change, new asymmetry, or a “softer” feel. Lastly, when in doubt, check it out - we’ll be here to help.
