Gum disease doesn’t happen overnight—it progresses in stages, and understanding it early can save your teeth.

👉 Healthy (1–3 mm pockets)
Gums and bone are strong. Teeth are stable and well-supported.

👉 Gingivitis (4 mm pockets)
Gums become red, swollen, and may bleed—but this stage is still reversible.

👉 Periodontitis (4–5 mm pockets)
Infection spreads deeper. Bone loss begins, and support around the tooth starts breaking down.
