🎭 Mardi Gras Morning Magic 💜💛💚

We celebrated Mardi Gras this morning with sweet paczki’s and lots of smiles! A paczki (poonch-key) is a rich, traditional Polish donut filled with fruit or cream, enjoyed on Mardi Gras as a way to indulge before the season of Lent begins.

Sharing this treat was a fun way to introduce a new tradition and spark joy, conversation, and connection among our residents!

🇺🇸 Presidents’ Day Fun! 🇺🇸

We celebrated Presidents’ Day with creativity and a little patriotic flair! Residents crafted Lincoln penny bookmarks, perfect for marking a favorite page.

After crafting, we gathered for a festive social featuring red, white, and blue yogurt parfaits that were as delicious as they were cheerful. A sweet way to celebrate history, creativity, and community all in one day! ❤️🤍💙

Happy Valentine’s Day from Overlake Terrace to you!💌
Our Memory Care residents had fun getting dressed up in pinks and reds and having their hair done, but the most meaningful part was sitting down to write Valentine’s cards to the people they love most. Watching them carefully choose their words and express love straight from the heart was so touching. We sent each family a copy of their photo along with their handwritten note, and it was such a beautiful display of the love they still share from afar! 💕

We celebrated all the amazing female friendships with laughter, love, friendship bouquets, and handmade friendship bracelets. 💐✨ To top it off, we enjoyed refreshing Italian sodas—courtesy of our wonderful friends at Family Resource Home Care and Continuum Hospice. Cheers to sweet moments and even sweeter friendships! 🥂

Day of Giving: Cookies, Kindness & Big Thank Yous 💙🍪

We celebrated our Day of Giving by putting together thank-you bags for our hardworking caregivers—small tokens of gratitude for the hard work, dedication, and joy they bring every day. To make the day even sweeter, we enjoyed some delicious Crumbl cookies while spreading kindness and smiles.

As we watch the Super Bowl parade this morning celebrating our Seattle Seahawks, we’re reliving all the fun and excitement from Super Bowl Sunday and smiling at those game-day memories. 🏈🎉

This past Saturday in Memory Care was one of those really special days 💚

Our residents spent the morning with a few family members and even some grandchildren, helping us start fresh with a planter that had gotten pretty overgrown. We cleared it out and replanted it with 15 different flowers and plants, and our residents loved getting to help choose what went in!

What made it extra meaningful was that the activity was led by one resident’s daughter and another resident’s granddaughter—our plant experts! Seeing everyone working together—different generations, hands in the dirt, sharing laughs—was pretty special.

Now everyone is excited to watch the planter grow and bloom over the coming weeks. A huge thank you to Karen and Kaia for helping get us started! It’s moments like these, where families and residents come together, that mean the most to us. 🌱💕

🌎✨ Cultural Kindness Class: Exploring Peru ✨🌎

Our Cultural Kindness class took a colorful journey to Peru! We learned a few common phrases, explored traditional clothing, discovered popular foods, and wrapped it all up with a hands-on Peruvian-inspired art project. It was a fun and meaningful way to celebrate culture, creativity, and kindness—one country at a time. 💛🎨
