Here is Dr. Aditi’s volunteering in the news again.

Hopefully everyone is getting signed up to receive their shot. You may even see Dr. Aditi as your vaccinator!!

The City of Seattle has now opened preregistration for COVID-19 vaccine appointments for anyone aged 16 and over who lives or works in King County. They become eligible for shots on April 15, when Gov. Inslee's statewide vaccine expansion kicks...

Dear Patient:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines on May 18th. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff.

For example:

• Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.

• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.

• You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.

• Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.

Please, text us when you arrive at the parking lot, if there is more than one patient in the waiting area, we will text you when we are ready for you to come in.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at office number or visit our website at web address.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,
Team at Avondale Smiles

Dear patients, as healthcare professionals the health and well-being of our patients, staff, and their families has always been our top priority. We are experiencing an unprecedented chain of events in our country and difficult decisions are being placed upon us.
After careful consideration and with the direction from the Washington State Department of Health, we must temporarily close our office beginning March 19, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This measure will free up vital personal protective equipment (PPE such as masks, gloves, etc.) for our local hospitals. Our goal is to reopen Wednesday April 1st, 2020, but as you know, this event is an ever-changing landscape and we will adapt to any additional information or mandates as needed. We promise to keep you, our valued patients, informed of any changes via email, text, and phone.
Our team will be checking voicemail and email regularly to address dental emergencies only. These conditions include:
• Severe toothache (throbbing that prevents sleep and/or daily functioning)
• Swelling of gums, face, or neck
• Trauma
• Broken teeth
• Follow up on any recently completed treatment
From our entire team we want to thank you for your patience and understanding during this stressful and unpredictable time. Please stay safe, take care of your families and your health.
Sincerely,
Dr Agarwal and the team at Avondale Smiles
