Last night, fifteen residents and friends enjoyed Supper Club at Angelo’s in Bellevue. The restaurant sparked memories of family dinners and past visits, and the only quiet moments came when we were enjoying the delicious food.

Today we headed out to Cougar Mountain Zoo for a hands-on look at some incredible wildlife.
We got up close with the reindeer, feeding them apples and learning about their behavior and seasonal routines. We walked among exotic birds, and enjoyed watching the cougars watch us back! The real highlight was seeing three lion cubs play and enjoy feeding time. Thanks to Bryan for being our tour guide.

Today we celebrated the incredible creativity of our community with over 20 residents works on display. From quilting, cross stitch, and needlepoint to wooden miniatures, driftwood sculptures, military pin collections, photography, and breathtaking oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings-every piece was a testament to the talent and passion within our artists.
Adding to the magic, we were serenaded by our wonderful piano man, Sam Burns, whose music brought warmth and joy to the event.
We are so proud of our residents and grateful to everyone who helped make our third annual Art Show so special. Here's to celebrating creativity, and the connection it so clearly brings.

What an inspiring afternoon at our first Art Show Presentation Day! We were honored to witness three incredible presentations by our talented residents:
•Quilting & Design – A beautiful showcase of craftsmanship and storytelling through fabric.
•Family Art History (From 1864 in England) – A touching journey of creativity and legacy.
•Painting & Photography – Stunning visuals and techniques that brought color and emotion to life.
The presentations were filled with supportive friends and neighbors and we were reminded of just how creative and talented our residents truly are.
Thank you to everyone who shared their work and stories—you’ve inspired us all. We look forward to more art on display tomorrow in our Open House Art Show from 2pm-4pm.

Archaeologist Lisa Briggs took us on a thrilling journey through the Golden Age of Piracy, introducing us to legendary figures like Bartholomew Roberts, the formidable female pirate Zheng Yi Sao, and the infamous Blackbeard (aka Edward Teach). 🏴‍☠️🌊

Today we hosted our annual Tricks and Treats Social, and it was a blast! We welcomed local families and friends to celebrate Halloween with tricks, treats, crafts, and temporary tattoos—and our residents had so much fun handing out candy to all the little visitors.
From spooky to silly, the costumes were amazing, and the smiles were even better. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this festive day of fun and connection!

We had a wonderful visit to Chihuly Garden and Glass today! The weather was perfect, the art was breathtaking, and lunch at The Collection Café was delicious. A beautiful day filled with color, conversation, and great company!

Today’s excursion to Benaroya Hall for ‘Xian Zhang conducts Rachmaninov’ with the Seattle Symphony was nothing short of pure brilliance.
Pianist Alexander Malofeev stunned us with his passionate performance of Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43, followed by a masterful encore.
And then came Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 2 in E minor, Op. 27! Watching Xian Zhang conduct with such vigor and grace was mesmerizing. The textures and emotions she drew from the orchestra were rich, sweeping, and deeply moving. It was a masterful interpretation that left us all in awe.
A truly unforgettable afternoon of world-class music, shared with wonderful company

Today’s excursion saw us escape from Redmond’s cloudy skies to find sunshine on Whidbey Island.
We watched a live glass blowing demonstration, wandered through charming boutiques and bookstores, and had a delicious lunch at Saltwater Fish House and Oyster Bar. After the return ferry ride, we made a ‘sweet stop’ at Mukilteo Chocolate Company before heading home to Fairwinds. Just in time to miss the rain again!

We are honored to be celebrating four remarkable members of our community who turned 100 in 2025! Today, we celebrated our last centenarian Annie turning 100. Our community is so fortunate to have Silvia, Sybil, Marie and Annie sharing their wisdom, life experiences, and joy with us.
