From festive staff moments and playful surprises, to music, warm cocoa, and meals shared around the table, these traditions created a season filled with connection and cheer.

As we welcome the new year, we’re grateful for the people who make Emerald Heights such a welcoming place and look forward to another year shaped by community, curiosity, and meaningful moments together!

Community Impact in Action at Emerald Heights

We were honored to welcome 15 nonprofit organizations to Emerald Heights for our recent Social Accountability Grant presentations, supporting local organizations that strengthen our community, enrich the lives of others, and further our mission of service.

This year, a total of $305,000 was awarded to organizations working across our greater community. Each organization shared more about their mission, how the grant dollars will support their work, and ways individuals can take action or get involved.

This gathering is one of the highlights of our year. It offers a meaningful opportunity to learn more about the important work being done in service of others throughout our community.

We are grateful to play a role in the betterment of our community.

Holiday spirit and creativity were on full display this week at Emerald Heights!

Our gingerbread house showcase featured an array of festive design designs created by residents and team members, bringing smiles and seasonal cheer throughout the community. A special shout out to our EVS team, who truly took creativity to the next level with their standout design.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate imagination, teamwork, and head into the weekend with a little extra festive cheer.

At Emerald Heights, community is strengthened through connection and kindness.

Cards for Corwin is a resident-led group dedicated to ensuring no one feels alone. Throughout the year, these residents write and share handwritten cards with neighbors living in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care, offering moments of friendship and companionship.

Earlier this week, the group gathered for a special tea to celebrate their shared mission. Filled with conversation, laughter, and a cheerful visit from Santa, the gathering was a reminder that while the season offers opportunities to come together, the spirit of care and community at Emerald Heights is carried forward year-round.

The glow of our annual Tree Lighting is always a special moment on campus, a time to gather with music, joy, and connection as we welcome the season together.

Our future residents say it best! This review came from a prospective resident who spent a few days experiencing life at Emerald Heights. While our Marketing team may be the window into our community, it’s our residents and staff who truly set us apart. We’re grateful every day for the amazing individuals who make this such a vibrant and welcoming place to call home.

We’re happy to kick off the holiday season by celebrating the spirit of giving and gratitude at Emerald Heights.

Our dedicated team of 10 resident Toy Makers works year-round to bring joy to children and families across our region. This season, they handcrafted an incredible 336 wooden toys, all donated to seven local charities.

In addition to the toys, the group also created six life-size winter figures for Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center to feature in their holiday lights showcase and fundraiser.

This tradition is one of the most heartwarming parts of our year, and we’re proud to share the creativity, care, and community spirit behind each piece.
