Susan Jean (Graham) Osborne, age 64, of Redwood Falls, formerly of Rochester, passed away peacefully Monday, March 9, 2026 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester after a battle with cancer. Memorial Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, family would prefer gifts to Ruby’s Pantry, Redwood Area Food Shelf or Imagination Library. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Susan “Sue” Osborne was born and raised in Rochester, MN, the daughter of Eileen (Kroll) and Neal Graham. She was one of seven children, with two sisters and four brothers. She remained close with her siblings throughout her life, cherishing family gatherings and always making time for those she loved. Sue treasured time spent with family and valued the deep bonds they shared. She graduated from Mayo Senior High in 1979. Sue became a legal secretary working for Olmsted County District Court after graduating from Rochester Tech. She went on to earn her degree in elementary education and, eventually, her master’s degree in education from Southwest State University. Sue started her 32-year teaching career at St. Edwards in Minneota, moving to the Echo Elementary School as a Title One and Gifted Coordinator. She then worked for the Redwood River Education district serving multiple schools as gifted coordinator. She taught at Redwood Area Schools teaching grades 1, 2, 3 and 5. Sue was team lead for the MN Department of Education and coordinator for the MN Academic Triathlon. She ended her career as Technology Integration Specialist. Sue loved her many students and colleagues. Volunteering was close to her heart, a love Sue learned from her father. She was a Sunday school teacher. Sue was instrumental in bringing Ruby’s Pantry to Redwood Falls. She set up the food backpack program for students at the elementary school and worked with the Middle School teachers to set up classroom snack shelves. She also volunteered with the Redwood Area Food Shelf. Sue facilitated Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Book program, which provides free books for area children. Sue was blessed by the birth of her daughters, Shelby and Samantha, and eventually her grandchildren Camron and Ella. Her children and grandchildren were the most important thing in her life. They brought her much happiness and joy.
Sue is survived by her daughters: Shelby Enright & Samantha (Holden Lawrenz) Osborne, both of Redwood Falls; grandchildren Camron & Ella Enright; siblings: Thomas (Kathe) Graham, Kathy (John) Bryant, Jeff (Wendy) Graham, Mary (Terry) Seeger, Joe (Deb) Graham & Jim (Deb) Graham; and aunt Rosemary Graham. She is preceded in death by grandparents Lewis & Beula Graham and Stanley & Julia Kroll, parents Neal & Eileen Graham, uncles Richard (Dona) Kroll & David Graham, and aunt Elizabeth (Wayne) Saunders.
