Forget the "2016 vs now" social media trend - we're throwing it ALL the way back to 2006! CONGRATULATIONS are in order for Nathan and Valerie, as they mark 20 years of ownership!

After college and a few years in the workforce, Nathan and Valerie returned to their hometown in 2000 to give back to the community that helped shape them. In 2006, they took a big leap, purchased the business, and renamed it Stephens Funeral Service. Fast-forward to today, and their dedication has turned it into so much more than a funeral home—it’s a place of comfort, compassion, and care when families need it most.

Through two decades of service, countless families helped, (and maybe few extra gray hairs earned along the way) Nathan and Valerie have shown what commitment truly looks like. Somehow, while Nathan has collected his “experience highlights,” Valerie has clearly mastered the art of not aging at all.

Thank you both for your heart, your hard work, and the lasting impact you’ve made on the Redwood Falls, Walnut Grove, Westbrook, and Tracy communities.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026 at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 14th at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at church on Wednesday. Interment is in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield. Memorials are preferred to Our House Hospice of Murray County. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at Tracy Area Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Services for Vernon and Patricia Guggisberg will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 5th, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church – Willow Lake Township with a visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery – Willow Lake.

Arthur “Art” William Rogers, age 80, of Tracy, MN, formerly of Percival, IA, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 25, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00p.m. Wednesday, December 31st, 2025 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy, MN. Visitation will be held 4:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 at the Tracy Area Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior at the church. Interment will be held at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy. Art had a lifelong love of reading; in lieu of plants or flowers, the family requests monetary donations be made in honor of Art to the Tracy Public Library under the “Friends of the Library” donation fund.
