Sculpting dinosaurs with my grandson this weekend...I turned my T Rex and Brachiosaurus into chip and dips. It will be awhile until they are done later this spring in a salt firing. I asked Alex what we should sculpt next, and he said raptors...so raptors it will be. ...and pterodactyls I think. If you want to know anything about dinosaurs, ask a 9 year old.

Groundhog Blues Pottery will be at the Maryland Home and Garden show this weekend and next; our first show of the year. They have a craft section. Our booth is 1744.

The largest spring home show in Timonium, Maryland, this show features landscaping companies, remodeling contractors, interior design companies, and more, at the Timonium Fairgrounds Cow Palace & Exh. Hall.

Helen and Allen Weichman have been creating handmade pottery together in their Poconos Mountains, PA studio since 1973. They make functional dinnerware and animal sculptures, finding continual inspiration from the dogs, cats and parrots living with them.

The line of serving ware includes nut bowls with a separate compartment for shells, the “Bageggler” used to make perfect microwaved eggs for bagel sandwiches. They also have an assortment of animal-themed teapots and soup tureens.

Helen has a series of dogs doing yoga as well as giraffes, manatees, elephants, cats and vultures. They do custom orders such as animal sculptures created from pet photos.
