✨ Staff Spotlight: Jessica Good - ✨

Today we’re shining a well-deserved spotlight on Jessica Good, our incredible Social Worker here at Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center.
Jessica has been part of our team for nearly 9 years, and during that time she has become such a core part of who we are. She is kind, hardworking, caring, and incredibly knowledgeable, and she shows up every single day with compassion and dedication for our residents, tenants, and team.

Whether she’s supporting residents and families through life’s challenges, offering guidance with patience and empathy, or reminding us all to take things one day, or even one moment, at a time, Jessica makes a real difference. Her passion for her work truly comes from life experience, and it shows in the thoughtful, genuine care she provides.

Thank you, Jess, for everything you do and for the heart you bring to our Senior Life Center. We are so grateful for your dedication and lucky to have you as part of the RASLC team!

🎻 Thank you to Mojo Music from Wisconsin Dells for sharing your incredible talent with our residents and tenants today at RASLC. The music was truly moving and beautiful, and it brought so much joy to everyone!

Here they are performing “Hallelujah” By Leonard Cohen.
💡 Fun music fact: Hallelujah wasn’t a hit when it first came out! Cohen wrote the song in the 1980s, but it didn’t gain popularity until years later through powerful covers by artists like Jeff Buckley …and yes, even its famous moment in the film Shrek (Rufus Wainwright)! ☺️

With its mix of heartbreak, hope, and Biblical meaning, Hallelujah has become one of the most covered songs in pop culture history.❤️

❄️Activity Highlight❄️
Creativity is always in style! Last week our residents and tenants put their artistic talents to work creating sparkling snowflake ornaments to celebrate the Winter Olympics with the help of our wonderful Life Enrichment Coordinator, LaVonne. ❄️ With glue, glitter and plenty of imagination, everyone helped design and decorate unique snowflakes that now add a festive touch to our trees. (Just in time for all of this snowfall and cold🥶)

A wonderful reminder that a little creativity and a lot of team work makes every season brighter! ⛷️✨

✨ Staff Spotlight: Stacie Dank ✨
For years Stacie has been the heart of our nurse's station at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center! As our unit secretary, she keeps everything running smoothly while keeping the residents and staff smiling, organized and on time. Helpful, funny, and full of love for our residents, Stacie truly makes RASLC feel like home. We’re so grateful for everything she does! Thank you, Stacie!

Reminisce Adult Day Services clients decided we needed to stay moving this winter. So… we are doing a walking challenge. Thank you to the rehab department at RASLC for figuring out the distance of each hallway and the distance to the theater and other distances throughout RASLC. Clients are walking the halls and calculating how much we as a team walk each day. When we walk 12,144ft we are treating ourselves to Culvers ( which is 12,144 feet from Reminisce). After that goal is met we are trying for 89,760 feet. Can anyone guess which restaurant is 89,760 feet from Reminisce Adult Day Services?

Thanks to an overwhelming number of donated greeting cards, our display recently needed an upgrade, and we’re happy to share that this beautiful new card rack was generously donated by St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran Churchof Reedsburg. We are so grateful for their kindness and support. Please join us in giving them a big THANK YOU!

Our residents and tenants at RASLC are always welcome to stop by our complimentary card shop and pick out cards for any occasion-holidays, birthdays, special moments, and more!

BINGO is always a hit at RASLC, but did you know bingo began in the 16th century in Europe as a lottery-style game? 🏰🗼
Today, our residents and tenants keep that tradition alive, using bingo to stay mentally sharp, socially connected, and smiling 😊 From boosting memory and focus to bringing friends together for laughter and friendly competition, bingo is a win for healthy aging and pure fun. Proof that a classic game can still create joyful moments for everyone!

This month our residents at the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center received multiple beautiful fresh fruit boxes delivered with care.

We are so grateful for this act of kindness and so proud to be part of such a wonderful, giving community. Thank you, FFA students and advisors, for making a difference!

We want to express our sincere gratitude to the Reedsburg American Legion Auxiliary Unit 350 for their generosity and kindness this holiday season. Their beautifully wrapped Christmas gifts were lovingly delivered to the veterans of the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center by President Diana Dalton, and our hearts are truly full.

Our veterans will greatly appreciate the warmth and joy these gifts bring. Thank you for making the season brighter for those who have given so much. ✨
