Today, Thursday, April 2, we proudly recognize National Autism Acceptance Day.

Our Reedsburg Area Medical Center staff came together in a meaningful way—wearing Autism Acceptance t-shirts featuring the handprints of some of our incredible pediatric patients. Each print is a reminder of the unique strengths, personalities, and joy these children bring to us every day.

Thanks to the support of our staff and community, we sold 265 shirts! Proceeds will go directly toward purchasing new sensory play items to enhance therapy experiences for our pediatric patients—helping us create even more engaging, supportive, and inclusive environments for growth.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that celebrates differences, promotes understanding, and shows up with heart!

Reedsburg Area Medical Center Birth Center was thrilled to receive another generous donation of books from the Reedsburg Education Association (REA)! For more than 25 years, REA has helped welcome our newborns with the gift of reading.

Together, RAMC and REA encourage parents to start reading to their babies from the very beginning—building a strong foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Thank you, REA, for your continued support and dedication to our community’s youngest learners!

✨Team Member Spotlight ✨
Today we’re shining a light on Kasey Miller, a Certified Nurse Midwife at RAMC.

When asked what inspired her to go into women’s health and midwifery, she shared: "My passion for women’s health care started when I was in the military and after giving birth to my own children. While in nursing school, I found my calling in labor & birth. Through my time as a labor & delivery nurse, I knew becoming a midwife was my calling. As a nurse midwife, I provide care for women through all stages of life from the first period to menopause. I have particular interest in labor & birth, prenatal/postnatal care and caring for women after pregnancy loss. I am excited to work in the Reedsburg community and to build relationships with patients here."

We’re so grateful for the expertise and dedication she brings, caring for patients through pregnancy and women’s health every day. 💙

Renee Mead, Pharmacy Tech at the RAMC Community Pharmacy, was recently recognized for Going Beyond the Expected. She was nominated by Becky Emery.

Becky wrote - “Renee noticed that a patient's wallet was falling apart one day when she was doing deliveries and the patient's money was actually falling out of their wallet. Renee had an extra wallet at home and took the wallet to the patient the next day so that the patient won't lose her money.”

Thank you for all you do, Renee!

Growing up with a sibling often means sharing life’s biggest moments. For brothers Dalton and Luke Rathman, that now includes welcoming their baby boys just days apart at the RAMC Birth Center.

Dalton and Regalle Rathman welcomed their second child, Bodhi Dean Rathman, on March 7 at 2:14 p.m. Reflecting on their experience, Regalle shared, “After delivering at another hospital, I must say RAMC is top notch. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.” Big sister Kendall was thrilled to meet her new baby brother and just as excited to welcome a new cousin.

Just a few days later, on March 11 at 5:27 a.m., Luke and Mariah Rathman welcomed their first child, Isaac Timothy Rathman. Mariah shared, “All the providers and nurses were very helpful and informative, which was especially appreciated as first time parents.”

Congratulations to the Rathman family. What a special joy to welcome two baby boys into your family just days apart. 💙

Today, freshman and sophomore students from the Wonewoc School District visited the RAMC La Valle Clinic for a hands-on look at healthcare, especially what it’s like in a rural setting.

Students had the chance to learn directly from our providers through interactive demonstrations and activities. Nurse Practitioner Amanda McAfee led a suturing demo, while Dr. Tesman taught students important “Stop the Bleed” techniques.

It’s always a great day when we can help inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals!
