🌟 Meet Alyssa, our new Foundation and Development Coordinator at RAMC! 🌟

Alyssa oversees the RAMC Foundation and all charitable donations across our entire RAMC campus, including The Senior Life Center. In her role, she helps strengthen community partnerships and supports fundraising efforts that make a meaningful impact on patient care and services throughout our organization.

Alyssa graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Finance & International Business. While she’s always loved working with numbers, this role allows her to go beyond the spreadsheets and connect with the community she lives in and loves.

Originally from the East Coast, Alyssa spent more than 20 years in California before moving to Wisconsin. Despite the obvious weather differences, she loves Reedsburg—describing it as a safe, kind, humble, and giving community where she and her husband look forward to building their future and family. Fun fact: Alyssa first visited Wisconsin in 2024 and moved here just eight months later!

Outside of work, Alyssa is a lifelong competitive swimmer and enjoys swimming at Swim Reedsburg in the winter. When the weather warms up, she loves running, hiking, boating, biking, golfing, and tennis. She’s also a fan of spicy food, dancing, reality TV, and spending time with her golden retriever, Louis.

Her personal motto is: “Work hard in silence; let your progress make the noise for you.” While she typically avoids the spotlight, Alyssa finds fulfillment in exceeding goals and making a positive impact wherever she puts her efforts.

Dawn Higley, Business Services/Prior Authorization team member at RAMC, was recently recognized for Going Beyond the Expected. She was nominated by Betsy Stevenson.

Betsy wrote - “The beginning of the year is always an extremely busy time for prior authorizations. Many patients have a change in insurance and authorizations cannot be completed until the new policy is in effect. There was a patient who had a procedure scheduled for the first week in January and despite Dawn attempting, the insurance company would not give any information on the policy or its guidelines prior to the New Year. She had a scheduled day off for January 2nd, and knowing how busy the rest of the department was going to be with all the new insurances and authorizations that would need to be re done due to changes, she came in to work on this specific patients authorization, so their care would not be delayed. Because this was a brand new insurance policy being offered, this took a couple hours. She went above and beyond to make sure this patient could proceed with their outpatient scheduled procedure, and to help her coworkers in a time she knew would be very busy.”
