Yesterday, members of our RAMC team attended Wisconsin Hospital Association’s Advocacy Day in Madison. It’s important to us to have a seat at the table and speak up for rural healthcare and the needs of our community. We’re grateful to our team for helping ensure rural healthcare remains a priority.

Our CEO, Bob Van Meeteren shared, “We are appreciative of the time our legislators took to meet with us during the Wisconsin Hospital Association’s Advocacy Day. Our legislators have been very supportive of the issues and bills pertaining to Reedsburg Area Medical Center and rural healthcare. We are grateful for their continued support!”

John Dziewior, MRI Technologist at RAMC, was recently recognized for Going Beyond the Expected. He was nominated by Celina Chapman.

Celina wrote - “John is an exceptional teammate. He came in over the weekend when he didn't need to and because of how quickly we got our MRI, we were able to transfer a patient sooner to get the care they needed. He was also there for several of our patients, holding their hands for comfort when they got really nervous and anxious under the machine. It's always a pleasure to work with John and we are so lucky to have him!”

Reedsburg Area Medical Center is joining WHA in calling for action from policymakers, educators, employers and health care professionals to build the workforce! The Wisconsin Hospital Association Health Care Workforce Report outlines practical solutions to reduce barriers, expand education and training pathways and support care teams so they can focus on patients.

Today we’re shining a light on Dani Liegel, Pharmacist at RAMC.

When asked what it means to be part of RAMC, she shared:
“As a pharmacist at Reedsburg Area Medical Center, I enjoy helping patients understand their medications and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize medication plans. I became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) to further specialize in helping patients manage diabetes on a day to day basis. I am honored to partner with patients and their families to assist in achieving their healthcare goals.”

We’re so grateful for the expertise and compassion she brings to our patients and our community every day. 💙

This week's RAMC Provider Spotlight shines on Dr. Anne Harris!

Anne Harris, MD | Family Medicine, Obstetrics

"I chose family practice because I enjoy being a part of my patient's lives and the community. From delivering babies to helping care for nursing home patients, I participate in full spectrum care. That is why I am so happy to be able to practice medicine in the town where I grew up (some of you may know me as Anne Koontz). A lifelong pattern of healthy choices can really impact a person's life. I also understand that having an illness can be scary. That is why I like to take the time to counsel people on healthy living and make sure I answer all the questions I can so that patients understand what happened during their visits and are comfortable with the plan of care."

Cardiac Rehab at RAMC celebrated Cardiac Rehab Week (Feb. 8–14, 2026) with some fun and heart-healthy activities! ❤️

Participants tested their knowledge with a heart health crossword puzzle for a chance to win a door prize and joined in on themed dress-up days throughout the week. We’re proud to support our patients as they learn, grow, and take steps toward stronger hearts every day!
