I have to share a post from the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition and Meridith Rothstein about our Survivor Sunday event last weekend...

The DBCC was invaluable to my cancer journey and recovery since. The community and camaraderie that I have found in this group of amazing humans has literally been life changing.

As a thank you to the Delaware Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition I collaborated with them and Meridith to host a survivor social at Urban Float - Rehoboth Beach, soon to be Drift Float Rehoboth, in order to share the awesomeness of floatation therapy to my DBCC tribe.

After the amazing day wound to an end my employees all expressed how thankful they were to be able to spend the day sharing something they love and care strongly about to such a powerful and inspiring group of ladies.

And I want to give a special shout out to Mr Mr. Zen’s Den, Craig Miller, for donating his sound and reiki healing skills for the entire day. Thank you Craig!

So thankful for the Delaware Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, Meridith Rothstein, all of my wonderful employees here at Drift Float Rehoboth, and the communities surrounding us!

What does floating feel like?

At first, it feels unfamiliar. The water is warm and the room is quiet, while your mind is still running in overdrive.

But after a little while, something happens. Your breathing slows and your shoulders begin to relax. That’s when you realize how much tension you walked in with.

A lot of first-time floaters ask us, “What if I feel claustrophobic?”

Our float pods are larger than many people expect. You can keep the lid open, leave the lights on, or float with music playing. You’re in control the whole time.

For many people, that’s enough to help them settle and truly enjoy the float.
