I’ll be happy when…..
The truth is, reaching a particular goal is not always your biggest gift. Sometimes it’s the path to the goal that can make you feel the most amazing.
I love goals, they are great but don’t hyper focus on a goal so much that you miss the magic of finding happiness right where you are at.

STOP BELIEVING THE B.S.! I jump on free calls with potential clients all the time, and I often hear a familiar refrain over and over: They really believe that a low-calorie, short-term program can address their weight and health issues. In 5 weeks, she is going to try to lose 20 pounds. That 5 pounds per week!

Losing this quickly is not only ill-advised by most professionals, but what happens at the end of 5 weeks? Where will she go from there? She will have to transition out of a calorie counting, low carb, strict program into real life, and trust me (after 12 years of experience with weight loss for women) she will probably gain her weight back. 95% of people do, unfortunately.

THE BEST ADVICE I EVER GOT, or at least it ranks towards the top... This advice came from someone who wasn't in the industry that I coach people in, but it has helped me become a better coach as well as enjoying life more.

I want to thank , for giving me top advice not too long ago--that really helped me change my life for the better.

When I felt like I was spinning my wheels, worrying over all the things I couldn't do anything about (2 fractures in my foot-Hello!) she advised me to stop doing anything for 10 days that I did not want to do. I was at home still, so this was possible, although it seemed impossible when she suggested it. I took her advice, and when I felt the urge to do something I really didn't need to do but thought I should, I stopped and thought about what I could do to make myself happy. It was a learning experiment that made my life happier.

HOW TO MAKE A BIG FINANCIAL DECISION. I'm not your wealth advisor. I'm not your mortgage broker. I'm not your guru. But what I am is a very experienced coach. And I empower people to make decisions all the time. While I can't advise you on any financial decision (like hiring a coach), what I CAN do is share strategies I use when I make $ decisions.

1. I think about the quality of my life, what can I do to make my life even better than it is now.
2. I think not just about the here and now, but how I want my life to look in 3 -6 months, next year. I look at the BIG picture
3.I think about what the investment pay-off will be. Will I learn, grow, become more, will my life be better?
These are 3 strategies that I use to help me make important decisions.

THIS BELIEF COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE. Dramatic? Perhaps. But in my most successful clients, I've seen them adopt this one major belief: The power of One. One single step in the right direction, however small, can make the most dramatic change over time when combined over time with another small change in behavior.

Even if you must Tip-Toe into change, it is better than staying in a place where you are settling, or worse, unhappy.

The reason why this shift is so powerful is that it stops the "push back' that our minds will give us when we try to do too much, too fast. It also allows you to find your path, cement it and then move forward.

I'm a women's Health and Fitness coach, But I'm far from perfect... In fact, my imperfections are what helps me understand my clients in a better way.

I have my bad days just like you. I eat foods that aren’t so healthy🍕, I skip meals, get less sleep than I should, and I drink a few extra wines once in a while.🍷These behaviors crop up from time to time, but the key phrase here is "time to time".

I used to do all of the above frequently which caused me to feel like a slug, and, I felt disconnected from the person I wanted to be. 😩

Now, if I have an off meal or day, I can let it go, and move on. I have tools in my life to help me get right back on track... this is one of the most important things I teach my private clients because without this most everyone will fall back into their old behaviors.

But, I've learned how to give myself an energy boost in 3 different ways:
1. Move your body- whatever way you can, get up and move.
2.Increase your water💦 intake if you've slacked off, add a fresh squeeze of lemon to help boost hydration.
3. Head back to your normal healthy, balanced meals, without going into a "dieting" mode,

"I'M TRIGGERED." How often do we hear that phrase? But truthfully, there are a few things that as a coach triggers me, and that is hearing someone say that gluten OR dairy OR any other ONE thing is the root of all evil. Did you know that some people can eat gluten foods and not have any issues? (Me) They can even lose weight while eating gluten foods, and others cannot put any gluten in their diets, and some people just feel better without.

If food is overly processed and full of ingredients that are foreign to the body, you probably should avoid that food, even if it is gluten-free. I’ve met fabulously unhealthy women who’ve cut out gluten!

Pay attention to how your body reacts when you eat gluten- make the decision on that, not what you read or hear on social media.
