He carried what we couldn’t.
The weight. The cost. The cross.

Easter is a reminder that hope is real,
that grace is given,
and that new life is still possible.

Because He rose, nothing is beyond redemption.

Thank You, Jesus.

Alcohol is one of the most widely used substances in the U.S.
But the impact often goes unnoticed.

Over 27 million adults are living with alcohol use disorder, and millions more are affected by patterns like binge drinking.

This isn’t just about dependency.
It’s about recognizing when something isn’t working and knowing when to take a closer look.

Awareness matters.
And so does taking the next step.

A lot can happen in 7 days.

Holy Week reminds us of that.
How quickly things can shift.
How one week can hold moments that change everything.

George experienced his own 7 days like that.
Seven days of encounters he could not ignore.
Seven days that led him to surrender and commit to Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge.

Last Friday, we hosted a training on co-occurring disorders. It was a really solid time to slow down, learn, and have honest conversations around addiction and mental health.

If you weren’t able to make it, we’ve got another one coming up on April 10. We’ll be focusing on reentry and what it actually looks like to support people after incarceration.

This week’s sponsor spotlight: GT Church

GT Church is a multi-site church in Pennsylvania with a heart to reach people and grow together in Christ, creating spaces where individuals and families can connect, grow, and find purpose.

Their commitment to serving others, both locally and globally, reflects the kind of impact that extends far beyond Sunday mornings.

Through their support, events like our Annual Golf Tournament are able to go even further.

We’re grateful to have them alongside us.

Mental health and addiction often go hand in hand, but many people miss the signs when both are present.

Join us for our next Dauphin County Training Series as we take a closer look at co-occurring disorders and how mental health and substance use intersect. This interactive training will help you better recognize what is happening beneath the surface and respond with practical tools and greater confidence.

Whether you work in ministry, social services, healthcare, or care about supporting people well, this is an important conversation to be part of.

The training will be led by Simon Dietz, LCSW, CAADC, Executive Director of the Samaritan Center.

We want to take today to recognize one of our amazing employees, Steve Freeman!

“What keeps me excited to come to work each day is knowing that God has placed each one of us exactly where He desires at this time. He has given each of us unique gifts to serve others, and He has a plan for every person who walks through our doors. Being part of that purpose each day is a miracle worth showing up for.”

Steve Freeman serves as the Clinical Supervisor for our Rehrersburg outpatient program, helping lead and support the team that walks alongside individuals on their recovery journey. We are grateful for the leadership and heart he brings to this work.
