We’re excited to share something new at the Counseling Center!

We are now offering Walk & Talk Therapy: a different way to experience counseling that takes your session outside the office (or the telehealth computer screen) and into nature. Being outdoors can also help reduce stress, support mindfulness, and make it easier to open up.

Walk & Talk sessions may be a good fit if you:
• Feel more comfortable moving than sitting still
• Enjoy being outside
• Want a more relaxed, less formal therapy setting

A few important notes:
• Sessions are held in public outdoor spaces, so we’ll talk together about privacy and confidentiality before the first session
• Not all concerns or situations are a fit for this format: if you are a new client, our first session will be in person or virtual to ensure this is appropriate for you
• We’ll help you decide if this option supports your goals
