Sharing with you day 3 in the 7 Days of Thanksgiving series from our Counseling Center.

7 days of Thanksgiving, Day 3:
Today, we’re grateful for our mental and emotional health. And we honor the truth that needing help—through a therapist, medication, or any supportive resource—is not a flaw. It’s a brave and human step toward wellbeing.

In November's Compassionate Conversations, CEO Lynn Flanagan sits down with Flavel Collins, Director of Marketing; Teressa Townes, Director of HR; and Jeanne Slayton, Growth Team Leader, for a meaningful discussion on what it truly means to be named one of the Best Places to Work.

They share how this recognition reflects more than workplace culture — it speaks to the heart of our mission. A strong, supported team leads to exceptional care for the patients and families we serve, and it strengthens the trust we hold within our community.

Day 2 of our “7 Days of Thanksgiving” series:
Today, we are grateful for people: the ones we’ve known for decades, the ones we meet only for a moment, and the ones who show up right when we need them most. Each connection, big or small, reminds us that we don’t walk through life alone.

🎥 Tuesday Tip with Ancora's CEO, Lynn Flanagan

This week, Lynn shares simple ways to start hard conversations with the people you love — especially around serious illness or end-of-life wishes.

đź’¬ Choose a calm moment. Be honest and gentle. Listen more than you speak.

And remember: You don’t have to have all the answers — just being present matters.

In the frenzy of social media posts during last week's Sole Purpose, we accidentally overlooked this photo of two community walkers. We would like to thank Aubrie Williams and Cailynn Pope for making time to walk on the treadmill, representing The Leadership & Service Ambassador Program of Rockingham County. These outstanding young women have recently completed 100 hours of service in their community AND received the National Medal of Service. We are grateful to them for making time to walk with us. These young ladies are certainly doing well by doing good!
