Our next ExtraGive artist is Atlas the Great. Atlas came to our program very underweight and needing lots of love! He got that and more including a herd and many many human friends. His artwork shows his wisdom and creativity. Atlas has been part of many groups where he, like Huey, gives participants a chance to connect and practice balance. Next is our tallest draft horse, Baby Huey! Yes yes, we know at 10 years old, he's no longer a baby....and yet he's just a baby! Huey arrived to our program about 4 years ago and has become a favorite in our programs. Huey is gentle, steady, and kind. He can be described as both majestic and goofy. Huey helps our groups learn balance by carrying them on his back, and courage for being up so high on his back! Huey's painting is as unique as he is. Fern, Fiddle, and Sprout are our very own, wholesome donkey family. So much so their paintings match in them and colors, each with their own unique snoot strokes on the canvas. Our donkey family gets the royal treatment with daily donkey parades through the barn, because of course they MUST stay together...Sprout says.

As you can see, Lavender is VERY proud of her first painting! And we think she did a fabulous job! As you know, this is Lavender’s first official ExtraGive with us. She did make an appearance last year as our big surprise coming to the barn and we picked her up the very next day. She’s a perfect one and a half year old, full of joy.
