I enjoyed a vegan Friendsgiving gathering today, complete with FOUR different matcha lattes flavors that the host made. This was my favorite: sugar cookie flavor, with whipped cream and sprinkles!

I enjoyed long hikes today and yesterday despite winter temperatures and winds already arriving. I savored some of the last remaining fall foliage, like these trees by the reservoir shoreline.

Please join me and/or share this information with anyone you think might be interested in attending my upcoming January vision board workshop. It will be held online on Sunday 1/25/26, from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm (ET). Things to note:
-We focus more on intentions and desired feelings more than resolutions, which means that we focus on feeling good enough already and on practicing self-compassion.
-The workshop goes through a process of letting go of what doesn't serve us, calling in what we desire, and focusing on gratitude and what's already working well for us.
-I am able to provide drama therapist RDT CE hours since techniques can be used with clients.
***
Winter can be a frustrating time, with cold weather and darkness bringing discomfort. However, the slower pace of winter allows us to take time to rest and reflect. The start of the new year is an ideal time to leave undesired things in the past and focus on the opportunities that the new year brings. This workshop will help you identify, clarify, and take action toward changes that you would like to make. In this workshop you will:
-Use creative activities to help with self-expression, self-care, clarity, and joy.
-Let go of unwanted things.
-Create a vision board, which is a collage of images and words of your choosing that helps you focus on your goals and provides you with inspiration to work towards them (*you will receive information about how to make one in advance of the workshop since it will be online*).
-Leave feeling empowered to have the future you want.

Life has been forcing me to take different roads than planned lately, like having to cancel some work this week and then having to cancel plans to go to my grandma’s funeral this weekend due to catching the stomach bug that’s been going around. And since it rained overnight and was quite wet out, I decided to walk on this pretty road instead of hike on my usual dirt trail. I’m trying to go with the flow and focus on gratitude to help get through the difficult things. I know a lot of others are struggling lately, too. Sending support to anyone else struggling.

I caught a quick glimpse of this lovely sunset scene of some deer grazing and a cat near them. May you also catch moments of beauty, especially when things feel heavy or dark.

The rain stopped this morning in time for me to get in a hike without worrying about getting rained on. The river and remaining pops of fall foliage soothed me.

I was really trying to savor the last of the fall foliage during this morning’s hike. Most trees were already bare, which felt so odd since it was so unseasonably warm in the 60’s. I know every season has plus sides, but I wish fall (especially the time of beautiful foliage) lasted longer!

Today has been one of those days filled with little joys:
-An unexpected Halloween themed trail at the park I went to for my morning hike
-A mostly blue sky with abundant sunshine making the fall foliage pop
-A visit to a local farm stand, where I bought pumpkins and pet some goats
-A matcha latte on the way home (not pictured).

I thoroughly enjoyed a 2 hour hike this morning. Though it started off as very chilly, the abundant sunshine made the leaves appear to be glowing. I’m trying to savor this fleeting part of the season as much as possible.
